June 30th Sports Picks

Lots of bad beats lately.  I'm expecting a positive day today.  Here is what I'm doing:

Nationals -135 2 Units
- Gio Gonzales has been very good lately and Wheeler is a wildcard but too inconsistent to trust. 

Giants -125 2 Units
- I really like the Giants to win today.  Bumgarner has been very good and Pomeranz is making his first start this year.

Tigers +111 2.5 Units
- I love getting Detroit at plus juice coming off a loss.  They have the bats to win this game.  Hellickson hasn't pitched well at home.  Porcello has great career numbers against Tampa.

Indians vs. White Sox under 7.5 -120 1.2 Units
- Great pitching matchup today. 

Rangers -150 3 Units
- Darvish on the hill at home.  Great spot to take the Rangers.

Cardinals +120 1 Units
- I like the plus juice on one of the best teams in baseball.

I started off the day yesterday poorly losing three out of four but added a few games later that both won so I ended my day down 1.7 units.  I tried to get in on the Red Sox RL but was too late.  I really like a few games today and here is what I'm going with:

Pirates -180 5.4 Units to win 3 Units
- The Pirates are hot and Gerritt Cole is the real deal.  I really want to do more on this game but luck hasn't been on my side recently.

Mets -155 3 Units to win 1.8 Units
- Harvey has been very good, especially at home.  New York has played better of late and the bats have woken up.  I really like the Mets today.

Tigers -130 2.5 Units to win 1.9 Units
- Max Scherzer is the best pitcher in the game and the Tigers will be motivated to get back on the winning track after being swept by the Angels.

Braves RL +135 1.2 Units to win 1.6 Units
- The ML was too expensive on this game so I'm going with the runline.  Teheran has been very good at home this year and the Braves have an impressive 25-11 home record.

Reds -102 2 Units to win 2 Units
- I know the Reds haven't been good on the road but Johnny Cueto is pitching and I don't see him having two bad starts in a row.  Great spot to go Reds.

I'm thinking about adding the Mariners under 7 and A's under 7.5 tonight.  Great pitching matchups going in those two games.

I made money again yesterday.  My Tigers bet was canceled due to the pitching change.  Overall up 3.5 Units.  Today I like these four games.  Write ups may come later:

June 26th Picks

I finally had a winning day yesterday!  I hope to keep that going.  These are the games I'm going with today:

Twins -108 2 Units
- Twins lost yesterday and they are playing Miami.  Diamond is on the hill today and I feel very confident the Twins can win game 2.

Blue Jays +104 2 Units
- Blue Jays have been hot and are coming off two straight losses. Dickey on hill.  I think they win today.

Cubs +125 1 Unit
- Feldman has been very good this year and Gallardo and the Brewers haven't been very consistant.  I'm taking a chance on the Cubs to take game 2 of the series.

Dodgers -180 2 Units
- Kershaw pitching at home against Lincecum and the Giants.  This is a no brainer.

Tigers -140 3 Units  *** This bet was canceled due to the pitching change***
- Tigers lost yesterday and today they go against Tommy Hanson at home.  Bet big on the Tigers today.

Red Sox RL +110 1.5 Units
- Boston is very good and home and Colorado isn't good on the road.  Lackey has a 1.04 ERA in home starts this year.

Nationals RL +145 1.5 Units
- Zimmerman is pitching and he has been great this year, especially at home (0.92 ERA).  Miley is inconsistent so I'll take a chance at another Nationals win.

June 25th Picks

I'm on a huge losing streak.  Last night Cliff Lee is cruising along and the Phillies are up 3-0 going into the ninth.  I have the Phillies to win and the under 6.5.  What happens?  The Padres score three runs to tie it and then win 4-3 in extras.  Nice job Phillies!  I lost every game I did except the Bruins over 4.5 goals (which I didn't post).  I should probably take a few days off but I just can't.  Here's what I'm doing tonight:

Yankees vs. Rangers under 7.5 -115 2 Units
- Two of the best pitchers going against each other tonight.  Good bullpens.  I just have a feeling this will be low scoring.

Nationals ML -140 1.4 Units, RL +155 1 Unit
- The Dbacks have a long flight to Washington, the Nationals have been very good at home, Gio Gonzalez has been money lately and Cahill has struggled recently.  I like the Nationals to win game one here.

Mets vs. White Sox under 7.5 -115 1 Unit
-  Both starting pitchers can shut down the other team and I see a pitchers dual here.

Cardinals -150 2 Units
- The Cards are the much better team and Westbrook is good.  The bats come alive tonight.

Pirates vs. Mariners under 7 -115 1.5 Units
- Locke has been great and Saunders has been really good lately at home.  This should stay under 7.

June 24th Picks

Lots of underdogs winning yesterday which caused me to lose quite a bit.  Today I like these games:

Bruins -130 2.6 Units to win 2 Units
- Bruins have played very well at home and I believe they win game 6 to push it to a deciding game 7.

O's -130 1.3 Units to win 1 Unit
- O's are 20-15 at home and the Indians are 14-21 on the road.  The Orioles should win the first game of the series.

Blue Jays +120 2 Units
- No team is hotter than Toronto right now.  Rogers has pitched very well this year.  Hellickson has performed very poorly at home (5.79) and in night games (6.72).

For today, I like these games:

Tigers -168 3 Units
- I feel Verlander will make some adjustments and have a good game today.

O's +150 1 Unit
- Taking a chance on the O's on the road at +150.

Royals -1.5 +112 1 Units
- Shields has been outstanding over his last four starts.  Now can his offense give him some run support?

Braves -1.5 +115 1 Unit
- The Runline is the play here.   Braves are due for a good offensive game today.  They have a pitching edge with Maholm and Milwaukee isn't very good.  No chance they sweep the Braves in the series.

Giants -200 4 Units
- Cain has pitched very well over his last three starts.  Miami has been good lately but the Giants have performed well on Sundays this year (7-4) and are very good at home and Miami is really bad on the road.  Split coming.  

Cardinals -200 6 Units
- This is a great spot to take the Cardinals.  Home on Sunday night baseball.  Wainwright has pitched great this year but is coming off a loss.  I think he'll make some adjustments and will shut down the Rangers.  Tepesch has just been flat out bad over his last three starts. 

Padres -155 3.1 Units
- Padres are hot right now and Cashner has very good numbers at home and against the Dodgers.  He hasn't given up more than 4 ER all year.

June 22 Picks

Yesterday didn't go so well for me.  I couldn't believe how all four of my games went. Today I'm going to get back on track.  These are the games I like today:

Rockies +107 2 Units to win 2.14 Units
- Haren has been bad at home (5.63) and in day games (6.88).  He has had a terrible June so far (8.40).  Chacin is much better on the road (2.66) and in day games (3.45).  These numbers just say the Rockies have the edge.

Mets vs. Phillies under 8.5 1.6 Units to win 1.5 Unit
- Gee has been really good lately and 8.5 is a lot of runs.

Dbacks vs. Reds under 8 1.6 Units to win 1.5 Units
- Corbin has been great at home and Leake has been really good as well.

O's -110 1.6 Units to win 1.5 Units
 - O's have the pitching edge and the hitting edge today.

Yankees -155 3.1 Units to win 2 Units
- CC Sabathia vs. Colome seems to be a bit of a mismatch.  Go Yanks here.

Tigers -175 3 Units to win 1.75 Units
- Scherzer is really good and the Tigers will put up runs today.

Cardinals -175 4 Units to win 2.29 Units
- Shelby Miller has been great this year and especially at home.  Perez isn't very good.  I see the Cardinals winning this one easily.

Sorry for my late post today.  It was a busy day.  I always like Fridays.  Here's what I'm doing tonight:

Tigers -137 2.7 Units to win 2 Units
 - Fister has been so consistent this year and almost always gives the Tigers a quality start.  Lester hasn't pitched well of late and is bad on the road.  I really like the Tigers at home tonight.

Royals -128 1.28 Units to Win 1 Unit
- Guthie's stats are very good at home and against the White Sox.  Chicago is just dreadful on the road.

Reds -110 2.2 Units to Win 2 Units
- If Cueto is pitching I usually will bet with him.  The guy is simply amazing.  Plus he runs the bases really well.  I hope he doesn't pull a hammy.  Reds have a good bullpen and Miley is really bad at home.

Dodgers -143 1.43 Units to win 1 Unit
- Kershaw is pitching so I'll take a shot with the Dodgers tonight coming off a loss.

June 20 Picks

Yesterday I went 4-3 and was up 4 units.  I was a little pissed that the Nationals scored 4 runs in the top of the 11th to make me lose my under 7.5 by .5.  Really? Intentional walk then grand slam.  Come On Man!

For Friday, these are the games I'm banking on:

Heat -260 5.2 Units to win 2 Units
- Game 7 in Miami.  I really like how the Spurs are playing but I think the Heat will make sure they win this game.  If there ever was a game they will give their all its this game.

Reds -185 2 Units to win 1.08 Units
- Reds play very well at home and Bailey has been good this year and has really succeeded against Pittsburgh in his career (8-2, 2.51 ERA).  I lowered my units to 2 because Bailey hasn't pitched as well in day games and Cumpton is a little bit of an unknown.

A's -108 2 Units
- I really like the A's tonight with Griffin.  He has outstanding numbers against Texas and goes up against Lindblom who I don't know but doesn't appear to be all that good based on his first three starts.  Texas has played better over the past two games but its hard to forget how bad they played the six games before that. 

Nationals -175 2 Units to win 1.14 Units
- Zimmerman vs. Oswalt.  I like Zimmerman a lot this year and he has been great at home (1.06 ERA).  Oswalt has pitched very well in AA but he's making his first start with a new club.  I don't know why that matters but just trust me.  Nats will win.

Braves RL +105 2 Unit to win 2.1 Units
- Minor has been so good this year and his numbers against the Mets are even better.  Niese has struggled on the road and the Braves bats woke up a little last night.  Go Braves in an easy one.

Twins -110 1.1 Units to win 1 Unit
- Twins just beat Sale and today they get Danks.  The White Sox are really bad this year especially on the road.  I am very confused on why the line is only -110 for the Twins.  Twins really should win this game but that's why they play the game.

Padres -135 3 Units to win 2.22 Units  **  Update at 9:09pm CDT, I just doubled up on this Game**  6 Units to win 4.53 Units
- Dodgers have a long flight back home after playing two on Thursday and the Padres have been hot.  Marquis has pitched well of late and the Dodgers have a really bad bullpen and that bodes well for the Padres since Fife averages 5.3 innings per start.

Mariners -110 1.1 Units to win 1 Unit
- King Felix against Tommy Hanson.  I don't like Hanson and I am betting against him in every start.

June 19 Picks

Wow that was a great NBA game last night.  The Heat pulled it off and helped me to break even on the day.  Today I have some very good picks that I feel really good about.  I need to have a big day.  Here's what I like:

Giants vs. Padres under 7 -120 2.5 Units
- Stults vs. Bumgarner is a great pitching matchup.  The Giants are still dealing with injuries and this will be played in a pitchers park.  I like the under. 

Indians -155 2 Units
- Cleveland is 21-14 at home and have Masterson on the mound who is really good this year, especially at home (2.22 ERA).  Mendoza and the Royals have been playing better of late but I'll take the Indians here any time.

Nationals vs. Phillies under 7.5 -115 1.5 Units
 - Gio Gonzales has been pitching well and has good numbers against the Phillies.  Kenrick has been good as well.  I just don't like either team's offenses right now so am making a small play on the under.

Red Sox -125 2 Units
 - Red Sox are good at home and Hellickson is having trouble getting hitters out this year.  I see David Ortiz having a big game and the Sox winning 7-3.

Braves -180 4 Units
- Braves just lost a doubleheader yesterday against the lowly Mets.  Good news for them is they get to hit against Shawn Marcum who isn't very good (0-8).  The Braves are tossing Kris Medlen who hasn't been as good this year but still has a 3.09 ERA.

Cardinals -155 6 Units
- Cards lost against the Cubs yesterday and I don't see them losing two games in a row.  Westbrook hasn't given up a run so far this year at home and Edwin Jackson hasn't been good this year.  He pitched well in his last two starts but still has a 5.40 ERA.  Cards should win this one easily.

Bruins -135 1.5 Units
- Bruins are the better team and I don't want to go against them.

June 18 Picks

Here are my picks today.  I'll have the write ups this afternoon. 

Red Sox G1 -120 2.5 Units
- Red Sox at home for only -120, I'll take that.

Mets G1 Even 1.5 Units
- Harvey is one of the best pitchers in the game.  Braves are throwing some reliever.  Easy one.

Phillies Under 7 -110 2 Units
- Lee vs. Detwiler seems to me like a pitchers dual.  Lee has been very good this year and the Nationals have struggled to score runs.  Detwiler is a sleeper who is much better than most people think.  His ERA was 2.76 going into the Colorado game last week.  He should be at full strength now. 

Reds RL +115 1 Unit
- Latos and the Reds are outstanding at home.  Plus Latos has pitched very well against Pitt.  Morton just hasn't pitched much and is still a little rusty.

Braves G2 -170 3.5 Units
- After I locked this in I saw some highlights on this Wheeler kid and he seems like the real deal.  Its really hard to judge how he'll do in his first career start.  My money is on the more experienced pitcher at home.
 
Cardinals -200 6 Units
- Adam Wainwright, enough said.  But if I do say more, this guy has been amazing this year especially at home (1.35 ERA).  The Cubs aren't very good so at -200 I'd say go for it.  Samardzija could pitch a gem but he hasn't been very good over his last three starts.  The Run Line is a good play as well. 

Twins -130 1.5 Units
- Twins at home against one of the worst road teams.  I'm a Twins fan so gives more more reason to cheer for them. 

Heat -350 14 Units
 - The Heat are very good coming off a loss and they are at home tonight.  I really don't think they will lose unless San Antonio continues to make every 3 they shoot.

June 17 Picks

Well, I gave back about 5 units yesterday.  I was very confident in my picks but as usually it didn't work out as expected.  I'm a little upset with myself for putting money on the crappy Rangers.  What happened to them?  Baseball is so streaky and can be so unpredictable from day to day.  But the good days are coming.

Here is what I like for Monday:

Royals RL +115 2 Units
- Shields has pitched very good this year and has a 2.63 ERA on the road.  Carlos Carrasco goes for the Indians who only has two starts this year.  Both starts he didn't pitch well at all (15.26 ERA).  I know the Indians are good at home but I think they lose this one 7-2.

Cardinals -200 4 Units
- The Cards are coming off a tough series in Miami but I think they get back on the winning track at home vs. the Cubs.  Shelby Miller has been lights out at home this year (1.12 ERA).  Wood has been very good this year but isn't as good on the road.  I must say that St. Louis doesn't hit left handers as well as right handers so I can't go more than 4 Units here.

Cardinals vs. Cubs Under 7.5 -110 1.5 Units
- The numbers say this will be a low scoring game.  Miller is great at home and the Cards don't hit lefties well (even though they should with all the right handed hitters they have).

Dbacks RL Even 2 Units
-  Corbin has a 1.60 ERA at home and a 1.72 ERA in night games.  Turner is young and talented but this seems to be a major mismatch. 

Giants -125 4 Units
- Giants are very good at home and Zito is much better at home.  San Diego is bad on the road and Volquez has been inconsistent and very bad on the road. 

Astros +1.5 -150 1.5 Units
- The White Sox are really bad and Norris is very good at home.  This should be a lower scoring game and I'll be going the under 8 as well for 1 Unit.

Angels RL +125 1.5 Units
-Angels have been playing better of late and Harang and the Mariners are horrible on the road.  Last start vs. the Angels Harang lost 12-0 in Anaheim.

Blackhawks +1.5 -260 2.6 Units

Parlay Special: Cardinals, DBacks, Angels ML 1 Unit to win 2.5 Units

** I added 2 Units on the Reds vs. Pirates under 7.5.  That was a no brainer with Liriano vs. Leake.

June 16 Picks

I had some big plays yesterday and those worked out (Cards 10 units, Rays 5 units, Bruins +1.5 7 units (increased).  I lost a few medium plays (CWS, Twins, NYY) but finished up pretty big on the day.

These are the games I like for Sunday:

Reds -190 6 Units
 - Cueto has been great all year but is making his first start since May 31.  He had a 1.93 ERA against the Brewers in 2012.  Braun is on the DL and Peralta has a 6.03 ERA.  I'm surprised the line isn't -250 or more. 

Cardinals -150 3 Units
 - After a 10 unit win yesterday I'll take my chances again Sunday.  Nolasco hasn't been good at home and that's not good considering he plays for Miami.  Lyons has been good on the road (2.79 ERA) and St. Louis has been really hot lately.  I see them winning this series before heading home. 

Tigers -155 2.5 Units
- Fister has been very consistent this year and has been pitching very well lately (both home and away).  PJ Walters has been good as well but is actually much better on the road and at night.  Go with the Tigers who have the pitching and hitting advantage on Sunday.

Tigers vs. Twins under 8.5 -110 1.5 Unit
 -  Like I said above both Fister and Walters have been very good.  Fister has been involved in a lot of low scoring games. 

Nationals -130 1 Unit
 - I really like Strasburg but I can only go one unit since he's just coming off the DL and I don't trust the Nationals offense. 

Dodgers vs. Pirates under 7 -105 1 Unit
 - This looks like a pitchers dual with Greinke vs. Cole. 

Rays vs. Royals over 8.5 -105 1 Units
- Wade Davis has a 6 ERA on the road and Hernandez has a 5.54 ERA in day games.  Offenses seem to be clicking.

White Sox -127 4 Units
 - I've lost two in a row betting the Sox but I try to avoid the sweep on Sunday.  Santiago has been pitching well on the road and Keuchel has been really bad at home (5.50 ERA) and in day games (7.71 ERA). 

Rangers -180 2 Units
 - Rangers have a huge pitching advantage but they have been on a bit of a losing streak.  I think Holland can do just enough to get the win on Sunday.

Mariners vs. A's under 7 -110 1.5 Units
 - Great pitchers dual on Sunday.  This seems like a no-brainer but crazy things can happen late in ball games so don't go crazy.

Braves -150 2 Units
 - Lincecum has been very inconsistent this year and for the most part bad.  Teheran has been pitching very well at home.  Braves find a way to win on Sunday night. 

Spurs +105 1 Unit
 - Spurs are really good at home and Parker should be back to full health.  No way I can do more than one unit however.  

Also, just a note on the Red Sox vs. O's game.  Lester is 14-1 in his career against the O's but hasn't been very good on the road this year (4.91 ERA).  Gonzalez hasn't been as good at home.  I was considering the over 9 but I see that both Lester and Gonzalez are much better in day games and both have good career numbers against each other's teams.  This is a no play for me.

June 15 Picks

I've been on a bit of a losing streak and I'm dedicated to getting back on track.  Just remember, any sport can be unpredictable and all you can do is put your money on the appropriate side based on your research.  Over time you will make money if you do your homework.  Here are the games I like on Saturday:

Bruins +1.5 -240 5 Units
 - Like I said before I think all these games will be one goal games.  Bruins have a great goalie and have been playing great.

Cubs +1.5 -200 4 Units
 - Feldman has been really good this year and pitched a great game against the Mets last time he faced them.   I really don't like the Mets or Niese so I'm making a play on the RL.  Go Cubs!

Cubs/Mets under 7.5 -120 1.5 Units
 - Two decent pitchers and two pretty bad offenses.  

Cardinals -185 10 Units
 - Cardinals just lost by one last night against the worst team in baseball.  They have one of their best pitchers going this afternoon in Lynn.  Lynn last pitched in a day game he gave up 1 ER in 7 In.  Cardinals have been really good on the road.  Koehler has gotten increasingly worse as the season has gone along.

Braves RL +130 1 Unit
 - Atlanta and Minor are very good at home.  SF hasn't been good on the road.

Rockies -143 1.5 Units
 - Rockies have some injuries but everything points to them winning tonight.  Chatwood is young but very good.

O's +102 1 Unit
 - Its hard to ignore that the O's are underdogs at home in this game.  Its worth a chance.

Blue Jays +113 1 Unit
 - Rangers are horrible right now and Dickey isn't all that bad.  I think I'll take the Bluejays please.

Rays -170 5 Units
 -My 2nd big play today.  Cobb is great at home and Guthrie has been good but overall isn't as good on the road this year (4.4 ERA)

Twins vs. Tigers under 8 EVEN 1 Unit
 -  Both pitchers are really good (Sanchez vs. Deduno) and I think we have a pitcher's dual here.

White Sox -145 2 Units
 - I was going to do the RL but the odds just weren't very good.  I think Danks and the Sox come out playing and take care of business against the lowly Astros.

Yanks +101 2.5 Units
 - Phelps has pitched well in the last 30 days and I really don't like Hanson or the Angels.  Go Yanks today!

Mariners +107 1 Unit
 - This is a tough one but if I can get King Felix at plus juice I will often times take it.

Ok, that seems like a good amount of games today and I feel really good about them.

I really like Fridays for baseball. There's always a lot of really good games. Here's what I like tonight:

Pirates RL +135 2.5 Units
 - Locke has been pitching very well this year and the Pirates have been hot. I really hate the Dodgers right now and I hope they lose by a lot tonight.

Reds RL +150 2 Units
  - Arroyo has been great at home this year and the Brewers just aren't very good this year.

Rays RL +120 2.5 Units
  - Matt Moore will get back and track and Tampa will be extra motivated after getting dominated last night.

Rangers RL +145 1.5 Units
 - Can the Rangers actually win a game? I hope so.

Twins +1.5 -135 1.5 Units
 - Twins are at home and Diamond has good numbers against the Tigers in his career.

White Sox -180 2 Units
 - Chris Sale is really good. Houston is not good.

A's -185 4 Units
- Milone has been really good at home and the A's seem to be hot right now.

Upset Special**

Phillies +106 1.5 Units
 - Lots of injuries in Colorado.

June 13 Picks

I went 2-4 yesterday.  Things did not go my way at all.  Coming off a bad day is always the best recipe for making a lot of money the following day.  I'm picturing an up 10 unit day today.  Here's what I like today:

Mets/Cards under 6.5 -120 1 Unit
 - This almost seems too easy with Harvey vs. Wainwright but these guys probably won't pitch the entire game and the wind is blowing out to left.  I'm willing to risk one unit on this with the potential for a pitcher's dual.

 - Latos has been good on the road and Samardzija isn't as good at home.

Reds/Cubs under 7 -120 2.5 Unit
 - Wind blowing in 14 MPH and two really good pitchers.

Yankees / A's under 7.5 -120 1.5 Units
 - I'm doing more under bets today.  Two really good pithers.  Parker has been much better recently and has really good career numbers against the Yanks (1.13 ERA).  Kuroda has been really good this year.  I like doing unders on day games.   

Red Sox -110 2 Units
 - Red Sox have the pitching advantage.  Doubront has had a lot of success against the O's in his career.

Giants -1.5 +150 2 Units
 - I see Cain pitching well tonight and he's going up against Morton who hasn't pitched in over a year.

Rays -140 3 Units
 - Hellickson was great in his last start at home throwing a 4 hitter over 6 innings against the O's.

Rangers -193 6 Units
 - I keep losing with the Rangers.  Not tonight.  Rangers win with Darvish

Twins/Phillies under 7.5 -120 2 Units
 - Cliff Lee has been really good this year and Correia has been really good at home (2.95 ERA).

Spurs -1 EVEN 2 Units
 - The Spurs completely manhandled the Heat in game 3.  Only 2 units on this but I really can't go against the Spurs after what they did in game 3.  The Heat may be motivated to even the series so it really could go either way.

*** At the last minute I decided to switch my bet to the Heat at -1 for 2 Units.  I just had to do it.  This is such a toss up and I really want the Heat to even this series up.

June 12 Picks

Yesterday I went 3-3 and finished about even on the day.  My goal is to make money not break even so I'm not too happy about that.  Baseball is a great sport but its really hard to predict from day to day.  These are the games I like today:

Reds vs Cubs under 8 -105 1.5 Units
 - Leake is good on the road and Wood is good at home.  Both pitchers are good so this should be a low scoring game.

Cardinals -1.5 -105 1 Unit
 - The Cards are hot and their best pitcher is on the hill tonight.

Marlins +1.5 -170 2.5 Units
 - Miami really shouldn't be the underdog today vs. Milwaukee at home.

Rangers - 130 3 Units
 - I think the Rangers bounce back tonight and win.  Tepesch has a 2.67 ERA at home.

White Sox -173 2 Units
 - White Sox have been playing well and they have Sale on the mound who sports a 2.13 ERA at home

Bruins +1.5 -240 3 Units
 - I don't really know which team will play better in this series but I'm expecting a lot of one goal games.

Bruins/Blackhawks under 5 -140 2 Units
 - I'm expecting a low scoring game.  Both goalies are playing well.

June 11 Picks

The luck really wasn't on my side yesterday.  I was looking at going 4-1 when the Rays had the bases loaded in the 10th tied 8-8 with no outs.  A simple sacrifice fly would have won the game.  Nope.  Double play, home to first.  Red Sox win later.  Then the Dodgers get a great start from Kershaw and are up 3-1 going into the 9th.  What happens?  League blows the save and gives up 4 runs.  I was surprised the Mariners didn't blow their lead!  I'm not going to worry about it.  That's baseball and I know I'll just get it back today.

For today, here are the games I like:

Spurs -2 1.5 Units
 - I don't like the Spurs but I think they win game 3 at home.

Cardinals -130 2.5 Units
 - The Cards are hot right now and don't like the Mets.  New York is 22-45 in their last 67 home games and 0-4 in Hefner’s last five home starts. St. Louis is 21-7 in their last 28 road games.

Red Sox - 120 1.5 Units
 - Like I said, I hate betting against the Red Sox.  I shouldn't have gone with the Rays yesterday.  Today I can bet with the team I like.

Red Sox /Rays over 8 -110 1 Unit
 - Runs should be scored again in this one.  Lester hasn't been as good on the Road.  But the Sox still win.  

Rangers -1.5 +115 1.5 Units
 - Holland has been really good lately, especially at home.  Kluber hasn't been good.  I think the Rangers win this 7-3.

Tigers -1.5 Even 1.5 Units
 - Tigers lost a close one yesterday and today they have a huge pitching advantage.  I see them winning 8-2.

Dodgers - 134 1.5 Units
 - I'm taking the Dodgers again tonight.  Greinke will hold a lead.  Just hope they don't put in League again.

Braves -116 1.5 Units
 - Braves almost came back last night.  Tonight they have the pitching advantage and the hitting advantage.

June 10 Picks

Yesterday was a good day.  Up 6 Units on the day.  Those are the type of days I want to continue.  Here are the plays I am doing today.  I may add one or two more later.

Brewers -118 1.5 Units
 - I just have the hunch that Milwaukee and Gallardo will have a good game tonight.  Nolasco has a 7.71 ERA vs. Milwaukee in his career and doesn't pitch well at home or at night compared to road/day. 

Rays -130 1.5 Units
 - I hate betting against the Red Sox but this is a situation where the numbers just tell me to go Rays.  Cobb is the main reason.  He is very good at home where he is 4-0 with a 1.91 ERA.  He has had success against Boston in his career.  Lackey has been good this year but has a 7.27 ERA on turf and is much better at home.

Tigers -140 2 Units
 - Detroit has been hot and should be able to beat KC today.  I just like the pitching matchup.

Mariners -240 4 Units
 - Hisashi Iwakuma has been the best pitcher in all of baseball and sports a 1.08 ERA at home.  And he's facing the Astros.  Lots of juice but I still want to bet it.  If you are worried that Seattle won't score runs then play the under as well.

LA Dodgers -173 3 Units
 - Kershaw hasn't pitched all that great lately but he has great stats against the D-Backs.  Wade Miley has not been pitching well.

June 9th Picks - Later Games

I was a little rushed this morning when I submitted the early picks.  I do like the Rangers and Indians as dogs and the Red Sox to win easily.   Sundays can be strange so I don't like to place large unit bets unless I really like something.  For later, this is what I like:

Miami Heat -300 6 Units
 - So I'm risking 6 units to win 2 units.  The Spurs looked really good in game one but the Heat had the lead for most of the game.  I will put my trust in Lebron today to even the series. 

SL Cardinals -113 2.5 Units
 - St. Louis has been very good of late. Yesterday they just faced a much better pitcher and the Reds prevailed which I expected.  I will take the Cards today with Lynn on the hill who has a respectable 3.10 ERA on the road and pitched outstanding in his last start against Cincinnati (7 IP, 5 H, 1ER). 

Rockies -175 3 Units
 - Richards is 0-3 with a 10.18 ERA on the road this year.  None of these starts were in CO where runs get scored.  Nicasio is actually slightly better at home than on the road.  I see the Rockies winning this game.

Twins Game 2 +112 1.5 Units
 - I really like Deduno after seeing him pitch in the WBC.  Over his last two starts he has given up 1 ER and 8 hits in 13 Innings.  The Nationals are throwing some guy named Karns out there, who isn't very good.

Mariners -144 1 Unit
 - Small bet since King Felix is pitching.

Well things were going really well yesterday and I was hoping for a 5-0 day but then the Phillies gave up a lead and lost and the Bonderman beat Kuroda.  Crazy things can happen.  I ended up breaking even on the day.  For today, here's what I like:

LA Kings +1.5 -200 4 Units
 - I think the Kings will be motivated today and they need the win if they are going to keep this series going.

Marlins/Mets under 6.5 -110 2 Units
 - Two really good pitchers against two really bad offenses

Reds -153 1.5 Units
 - Cardinals are hot right now but the pitching matchup really says the Reds should win.

Rangers -164 2.5 Units
 - Darvish and the Rangers have been really good and I really like the Rangers today

Yankees -130 2 Units
 - Yankees should win today with Pettitte against the lowly Mariners

Red Sox game 1 -161 2 Units
 - Red Sox are good and the Angels have been horrible this year.  Hanson is pitching for the Angels.  Go Sox.

Red Sox game 2 -150 2 Units
 - Red Sox are good and the Angels have been horrible this year.  I don't get why they are only favored at -150 at home with their best pitcher.

Nationals / Twins Under 7.5 -110 1 Unit
 - Two good pitchers, I like the under in this game.

June 7 Evening Picks

So far today I had two of my three earlier bets canceled due to rain.  Cubs are down 1-0 now so I won't expect the win on that.  For tonight I am very confident in these:

Penguins +1.5 4 Units
 - I think the Penguins have way too much pride to get swept in the series.  I really like the +1.5 in this game. 

Phillies - 150 2 Units
 - Cliff Lee has been great this year.  The Brewers have been really bad at home.  Go with the Phils.

Rockies -155 2 Units
 - Rockies will be motivated to get back at the Padres after last night's loss.  De La Rosa sports a 2.45 ERA at home this year.  That's amazing.

Tigers -1.5 -105 1 Unit
 - Tigers at home with Verlander seems like a good spot.

Yankees -185 3 Units
 - Kuroda vs. Bonderman.  Yankees are hot right now.

June 6 Picks

After my 8-0 day on Tuesday I ended up losing on Wednesday going 2 - 6.  I did add a few more 1 Unit bets on the Rockies Over and Phillies but it was still a bad day.  My Reds bet was canceled due to Cueto getting scratched.  After I lost the Mariners/White Sox under 7 I knew it wasn't going to be my day.  0-0 in the 13th and the final ends up 7-5.  What??  I feel really good about Thursday.  Here are my picks:

Tigers -185 3 Units
- Scherzer at home against Hernandez.  -185 isn't bad for one of the best teams in baseball at home against a sub par pitcher..  Tigers should win this game. 

Nationals vs. Mets under 7 +105 2 Units
 - I lost this bet last night and tonight has better pitching and the same bad hitting.  Geo has been good of late and Marcum had a decent game a few starts ago and has pitched in four straight games that finished at 7 runs or lower.  Final will be 3-1 Nats.

Nationals ML -185 2 Units
 - Like I said, game will end 3-1 Nats.  Geo is better at home and Marcum is 0-6.

Cardinals - 180 4 Units
 - Shelby Miller is pitching for the Cards at home and he sports a 1.82 ERA.  That is pretty good.  And guess what?  His home ERA is only 0.79.  The dude is good. Kennedy hasn't been good at all this year.  Great spot to bet the Cards coming off a loss.

Heat ML -230 3 Units
 - Heat played a great game 7 and from what I noticed the team that has the long layoff doesn't do so great in game 1 of the series.  I'm taking the Heat to win at home.

June 5 Picks

Yesterday was a great day.  8-0 on the day!  I felt good about all bets (like I always do).  Today I hope to keep it going.  The goal is to win every bet I do.  But at a minimum I need to make money each day.  Here is what I'm doing on Wednesday:

Nationals vs. Mets Under 7.5 -105 1.5 Units
 - This game should go under 7.5.  Both pitchers are good and both offenses suck.  Wind is blowing out slightly so I lowered from 2 units to 1.5. 

Reds -190 3 Units
 - Reds lost a game they should have won last night (I won the bet going with CO) but they should take care of business tonight against Garland.  Cueto is the Reds best pitcher and I see the Reds winning.

Dodgers ML -210 4 Units, -1.5 RL +105 1 Unit
 - Kershaw is pitching.  He has been really good especially at home.

Mariners vs. White Sox under 7 -110 1.50 Unit
 -  Iwakuma has been lights out and has a 1.34 ERA at home.  Alexrod pitched a 3 hit 0 R game in his only start vs. Sea.  Wind blowing in slightly. 

Twins +1.5 -165 2 Units
 - Twins have been good and the Royals have been bad.  I don't normally do the +1.5 but I think this will be a one run game. 

O's -152 3 Units
 - Going with the O's again.  They have a great lineup and should win this game regardless of who's pitching.

Dbacks +128 1 Unit
 - Joe Kelly is pitching for St. Louis and I once thought Kelly was a really good pitcher but now I don't feel that way.  He's sporting a 8.53 ERA at home this year.  AZ at +128 seems like a good bet for 1 unit.  

Bruins -115 1 Unit
 - Bruins have the Penguin's number but I don't want to bet the house on this one.

I had a bad day again yesterday.  I'm not sure why the Penguins are playing so bad all of a sudden and I just can't believe the Angels just got swept by the Astros at home.  Crazy things can happen in this world.  For Tuesday I like these games:

Nationals -195 4 Units
 - Zimmerman has been one of the best pitchers in the league this year.  He's pitching at home against the lowly Mets.  Nationals have been playing well of late.  Go with the Nationals.

Rockies +156 1 Unit
 - Its hard to ignore these odds.  I'm taking a chance that the Rockies can win game two of the series.

Twins +120 1 Unit
 - Twins have been playing really well of late and the Royals have not.  I really like Deduno and expect the Twins to win this game.

Orioles -1.5 1 Unit;  ML -156 3 Units
 - The Astros are hot right now but the Orioles are much better than the crappy Angels.  They put up runs unlike the Angels.  Harrell's home ERA is 7.15.  This is a great spot to bet the O's.  Also considering the over 9.  

LA Kings -126 1 Unit
 - Kings are really good at home so I'm putting a small bet on them in game three.

Added the M's and Angels for 1 unit each later.

June 3 Picks

Well things were going very well yesterday until the LA Kings played.  I admit I was wrong about that game and shouldn't have bet 6 units.  But big wins from the Braves, Twins and Phillies kept me close to even on the day.  Here's what I'm going with on Monday:

Pacers +7 -110 2 Units
 - The Pacers just seem like they have the Heat's number this year.  They have the size advantage and even though they don't play as well on the road I think they keep game 7 close.

Pitt Penguins -190 4 Units
 - I'm going with Pittsburgh to even the series.  I can't see them losing two straight games at home.

Phillies -170 2 Units
 - Miami is surprisingly hot right now sweeping the Mets at home.  But fortunately for the Phillies the Marlins are horrible on the road.  

Cardinals -162 2 Units
 - Cardinals at home with Lynn on the mound is a pretty good spot to be in. Cahill has been pretty good so tread lightly.

LA Angels -200 3 Units
 - The Angels can't lose 4 in a row against the lowly Astros.  Can they?  Why is Pujols so bad this year?  The guy completely fell apart after signing that huge contract.  Same with Hamilton.  Its like they get the money and then they don't care how well they play.  Have some pride guys and do the work to become great again.  Note to GMs: don't sign guys that old for long term deals!

Brewers -105 1 Unit
 - Brewers haven't been very good at home this year and Estrada has been pitching like Rick Reed after he got traded to the Twins.  But he did pitch very well in his last start at home and I thinks he can pitch another good game vs. Oakland.  Milone has been bad on the road this year.  Go Brewers for 1 Unit.

I was 4-2 on Saturday and I'm ready to make more money today.  Here are my picks:

LA Kings +1.5 6 Units
 - Kings were up 1-0 last night and they just had a lapse of judgment to give up two quick goals in the 2nd.  I think they keep game two close again and they may win but if they lose it will most likely be by one goal (in overtime preferably).  I'm very confident in this so get your money on the Kings. 

Braves ML -185  3 Units
 - Braves will win this game.  Don't ask questions just put your money on the Braves.  They are at home and Maholm is pitching against some rookie making his second career start.  Harper is out so why wouldn't you go with the Braves?  Just do it. 

Pirates / Reds under 7.5.  1 Unit
 - Two really good pitchers going against each other.  This should be another low scoring game.

Phillies ML -180 2 Units
 - Cliff Lee vs. M. Fiers.  Enough Said

Twins ML -135 2 Units
  - Diamond at home against a no name pitcher for Seattle.  Go Twins!

Rangers / Angels Parlay 2 Units
 - These two teams should both win but the odds aren't good so parlay it! 

 Yankees vs. Redsox under 8 1 Unit
 - Wind is blow out but two great pitchers going.  I think this will be low scoring and 8 is a lot of runs.  1 Unit isn't much for this game which I'm not super confident in but will bet it anyway.
