Red Sox -147 7.5 Units
- I'm going large on the Red Sox. I'm surprised the line was only -147. Lackey has been great at home this year (1.90 ERA) and Iwakuma had a really rough start against Boston back on July 9th where he gave up 6 earned runs in three innings.
Rays -153 4.6 Units
- Tampa Bay has been very good lately and overall they are 35-19 at home. Arizona has not been playing well and their offense has really struggled. Hellickson has put together 7 quality starts in a row and I think he keeps it going here.
Cardinals vs. Pirates under 7 -113 2.4 Units
- Wainwright vs. Locke is a great pitching matchup. I think we see a lot of zeros up on the board Wednesday.
Orioles -250 2.5 Units
- Big spread here but I couldn't pass on this game. The Astros are 0-7 against the O's and I'm a big fan of Gonzalez. Bedard started the season pretty good but he's really struggled of late (0-5 last 5 starts).
A's RL +130 1.4 Units
- Colon has pitched very well this year. Was he an All Star? He's 3-1 with a 1.78 ERA over his last five starts and those starts were against some pretty good offensive teams (LAA twice, Boston, Pitt). Dickey is pitching for Toronto and he's been erratic over the past 30 days. He's 1-3 with a 5.34 ERA.

- Pirates are at home and their best pitcher is going. St. Louis just got swept by the Braves.
Reds ML -150 1.5 Units
- The pitching matchup favors the Reds. Leake has pitched very well of late and has an outstanding 2.13 ERA on the road.
Indians RL +125 1.5 Units
- I think the Indians will win game 1 against the White Sox. Cleveland just swept the Rangers.
Angels vs Rangers under 8 -115 2.3 Units
- Weaver has been unbelievable of late and Garza isn't too bad himself. Looks to me like another pitching dual.

- The A's find ways to win and home field advantage is key in this game. The A's are 33-16 at home and the Blue Jays are 20-28 on the road. The pitching matchup favors the A's.

June 27st Sports Picks
I had another brutal day yesterday with a 14 unit swing on the Mariners Twins game. I didn't watch until the 13th but did notice the Ms were up 1-0 in the 8th. I'll have to see what happened. I stand behind that pick and 19 out of 20 the Mariners will beat Diamond and the Twins in that spot. For today I'm going with the following games:
Rays Yankees under 8.5 -110 2.2 Units
- Both pitchers have been very good over the past 30 days. This was a no brainer and I should have gone more.
Mets vs. Nationals under 8.5 Even 3 Units
- 8.5 Runs is a lot for two teams that have struggled to score runs. Pitchers going (Gee vs. Haren) aren't the worst so this is another no brainer.
Reds +120 2 Units
- The Reds have been playing very well on the West Coast and Arroyo has been much better than Rye over the past 30 days.
Tigers -250 7.5 Units
- I'm risking a lot on this game but the Tigers are at home with Scherzer going against Valdez for the Phillies. Its a lot of juice but its worth the risk. The RL is a good play as well.
Dbacks -120 3.6 Units
- The pitching matchup is very even so I'm going with the home team who are 30-22 at home. San Diego is a disappointing 19-35 on the road.
White Sox -170 5.1 Units
- Sale has been pitching lights out and Wade Davis has pitched horrendous of late. This is an easy one.
Giants -240 2.4 Units
- I wanted to go more on this but am just risking 2.4 units. The pitching favors the Giants. Bumgarner hasn't given up more than 2 ER is his last 7 starts. He's also better at home (2.55 ERA)
Red Sox vs. Orioles over 9 -110 3.3 Units
- Both teams have very good offenses and the pitchers going aren't anything special. The wind is blowing out. In Dempster's last 5 starts the game ended with 9 total runs or more. In Feldman's last 3 starts the games all ended with more than 10 total runs.

June 25rd Sports Picks
Great day for me yesterday as I went 8-3 for +12 Units. I don't like as many games today but here are my picks:
Pirates vs. Nationals under 7.5 -120 1.8 Units
- Another great pitching matchup and the Nationals have really struggled offensively.
Brewers -140 1.4 Units
- Gallardo had a really good start his last time and Brewers are good at home. I could have avoided this game but I wanted to add just because its a day game.
Rockies -170 3.4 Units
- The Rockies are at home vs. Miami. Nicasio has pitched very well over his last two starts and Eovaldi really struggled against the Brewers. Eovaldi is much worse on the road.
Yankees vs. Rangers under 8.5 Even 1.5 Units
-Both Kuroda and Holland have pitched very well this year with ERAs of 2.65 and 3.10 respectively. Hollands last start against NY he pitched 9 innings and only gave up 2 hits. Kuroda also pitched well against the Rangers this year.
Rays vs. Red Sox under 9 Even 1.5 Units
- Again this game matches up two pitchers who have performed very well over the past 30 days. Lackey has been money at home and Hellickson has put together 6 quality starts in a row.
Orioles -130 3 Units
- The O's are due to win this game. They have the superior pitcher going in Gonzalez and they hit right handed pitchers very well. Just need Davis to have a good game.
Dodgers -130 2.6 Units
- The Dodgers are one of the hottest teams right now and they head home for a game against the Reds. The Red are also hot but looking at the pitching matchup Greinke has been much better than Latos especially over the last 30 days.

- Just riding the hot team. The O's have a great lineup and can beat anyone at anytime.

I had a very good day on Sunday and after the Red Sox win I finished up 13.5 units! These are the games I'm selecting on Monday:
Padres vs. Brewers under 8.5 -115 2.3 Units
- Gorzelanny has a very interesting stat line over the past 30 days. 0-3 with a .76 ERA. This tells me that his team doesn't provide any run support.
Cubs +121 1.5 Units
- Matt Garza has been on fire going 5-0 with a 1.47 ERA over his past 5 starts.
Giants -116 2.3 Units
- I know Tim Lincecum pitched a no hitter just over a week ago and he threw like 150 pitches so history may say a pitcher will have a let down in his next start after a no-hitter but the extra rest should help. The Reds and Arroyo do not play well on the road. Great value here.
Yankees vs. Rangers under 8.5 -105 2 Units
- Darvish vs. Nova. We all know what Darvish can do and Nova has been money over the past 30 days. These two teams don't put up runs like they used to.
Orioles -114 2.2 Units
- The O's have been hot and have a great offense. Wade Davis has been very bad of late (0-3 over his last three starts with 17 ERs in 13 inning).
O's vs. Royals over 9 -115 2.3 Units.
- Davis has been bad and Feldman hasn't pitched as well since he was traded to Baltimore. The wind is blowing out slightly. Runs should be scored in this one.
**Update, my Cubs game was canceled because Garza was traded. I just added the Dbacks -170 for 3.4 Units**

July 15th 2013 Home Run Derby Picks
Tonight there are no games but there is the 2013 Home Run derby. I took a look at the matchups and odds to win and will be placing some matchup wagers. The things I look for in the home run derby for potential winners is experience, how a player handles pressure, how the player normally does in batting practice, overall power and hand / eye coordination. I took a look at the field this year and I really don't know who is going to have the best home run derby but here are my thoughts on each player:

Yesterday I only did two games. I didn't post anything. Today I like these games:

- Sabathia vs. Gibson. The pitching advantage goes to the Yankees. The Twins actually beat the Yankees yesterday but I don't see them winning another game today.
Phillies vs. White Sox under 7.5 EVEN 2 Units
- Both Hamels and Quintana have been very good over the past two starts with both guys having ERAs in the 1s.
Nationals -125 1.25 Units
- Jordan has pitched pretty well and the Nationals are just the better overall team. Alvarez has been shaky.
Rays RL -120 1.8 Units
- Archer and the Rays have been good over the past 30 days, Bedard and the Astros have not.
Brewers +1.5 -145 3 Units
- The Dbacks are big favorites but Peralta has been very good over the past 30 days (1.99 ERA) and Kennedy has been very bad over the past 30 days (4.70 ERA).

- I'm taking a chance that Verlander has a good game. The numbers say go Rangers but this is more of a feeling then going with the numbers.

July 12th Sports Picks
Another good day for me yesterday. I finished up 3.5 Units on my posted picks. I also added the O's ML and won 2 units. Let's keep the wins coming tonight. Here are my plays:
Indians -150 1.5 Units
- Cleveland is very good at home (27-19) and Kluber is good at home as well (3.09 ERA).
Yankees -180 5.4 Units
- Twins looked horrible against the Yankees in MN and I don't think they'll do much better at Yankee stadium against a very good pitcher.
Phillies -120 2.4 Units
- The Phillies have been playing some good ball lately and Pettibone has been solid over the past 4 starts and owns a 2.45 ERA at home. The White Sox aren't very good on the road (17-32).
Rays RL -150 1.5 Units
- This is a huge mismatch with Price vs. Cosart. Cosart was drafted in the 38th round in 2008. Price was drafted #1 overall in 2007. The Rays are very good at home. These are some of the reasons the ML is -300.
Dbacks -160 3.2 Units; RL +130 1 Unit
- Patrick Corbin is really good if you haven't noticed. Plus he's much better at home (1.56 ERA). That's pretty great considering he pitches in a hitters park. The Brewers aren't very good on the road as they have a 15-28 record.

Another good day yesterday as I was up 7 units. I like a lot of games today and here are my picks:
Blue Jays -130 2.6 Units
- Dickey has been pitching better and is better on the road and in day games. The Indians have home field advantage but are starting a AAA call up making his major league debut.
Rays -210 4.2 Units
- Matt Moore has been money this year. In his last two starts he has pitched 13.1 innings, 0 ER, 15 Ks, .90 Whip. Oh and by the way, the Rays have been playing great baseball lately.
Rays vs. Twins under 8 -115 2 Units
- See above on Moore. Pelfrey looked very good last Saturday vs. the Blue Jays. I'm banking that he keeps it going this afternoon against the Rays.
Red Sox -140 2.8 Units
- Boston's offense has been on fire lately. Hopefully they keep that going in today's day game.
White Sox vs. Tigers under 7.5 -110 1.1 Units
- Two really good pitchers going against each other in a day game. I'm not too confident but I couldn't pass it up.

- Zimmerman is much better than Kendrick and the Nationals have been playing well. I really like this pick.
Giants -135 1.3 Units
- Bumgarner has been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball over the last 30 days. San Diego hasn't been playing well so I am confident the Giants will win this game.

I was down about 3 units yesterday. The Yankees really let me down. Here are the games I'm going with tonight:

- I'm banking on the Pirates avoiding the sweep. The A's are on a winning streak so I can't bet too much here but the pitching favors the Pirates tonight. Liriano is 4-1 with a 2.05 ERA at home and Milone has a 4.83 ERA on the road.
Nationals vs. Phillies under 7.5 -120 2.4 Units
- Two of the better left handed pitchers going against each other tonight. The wind isn't a factor.

- Nova has pitched well in his last three starts and I really think the Yanks will win tonight for their home crowd. I see a 5-2 type game.

- Detroit is coming off an embarrassing loss to the White Sox, who are normally really bad on the road. I don't really care who is pitching as it seems pretty even but the the Tigers will bounce back and win tonight.

- Tampa is really hot. I thought the Twins would make it close last night but they couldn't. Tonight I don't feel that way after the Rays just dismantled the Twins.

- Atlanta has a big pitching advantage and has a much better lineup.

- I don't see Pittsburgh losing two in a row. They have the pitching edge and home field advantage. Great spot to go Pirates ML.

- Two really good starting pitchers and both teams have good relief pitching. I see a 4-2 game with the edge going to Pittsburgh.
Reds vs. Brewers under 8 -105 2.1 Units
- Bailey is coming off a no hitter and Lohse has been very good over the past 30 days. I see another low scoring game here.
Tigers RL Even 1 Unit
- Scherzer has been amazing this year and Cleveland hasn't been playing well lately. Go Detroit.
Twins RL -155 1.5 Units
- The Twins are big underdogs tonight against Tampa. The Rays have been hot lately but the pitching matchup favors the Twins. I see this as a Twins win or a one run win for Tampa. I'm a big fan of Deduno. Hernandez is 4-10 on the year and probably shouldn't be a starting pitcher in the majors.

- This game is a complete mismatch. Harvey has been one of the best pitchers and Lincecum has flash moments of brilliance but so often he gives up a huge inning or two. The Mets should win this one. If the game stays close late I would say the Giants win so the first 5 would be good as well.

July 3rd Sports Picks
After losing a huge 10 unit pick yesterday I still managed to profit 1 unit. The A's saved me from a large losing day. That 3-R HR was huge. I like a lot of games again today. I really like betting a lot of games if it makes sense. This is what I'm doing tonight:
Nationals -145 4.5 Units
- After last night's defeat I strongly believe the Nationals will win tonight with Detwiler. This may not be a popular pick but I believe Detwiler is finally over his injury and will pitch a gem tonight. Harper is back and its Friday night in DC. Lohse has pitched well of late and I'm considering the under 8 (EVEN) as well. Please just don't pitch Drew Storen. That guy is horrible and shouldn't be the setup man.
Mets -170 4 Units
- Matt Harvey is probably the best pitcher in the game right now. There's a lot of really great pitchers but Harvey just seems hittable. I just hope the Mets can get a big lead because Harvey normally doesn't go all nine. The first 5 bet might be the better play here.

- Locke pitches tonight and he has been lights out this year. His team has won all four of his starts at home this year and his last start against the Phillies he pitched 6 Innings and gave up just 2 hits. Lannan has been inconsistent and most likely will give up a lot of runs against the Pirates. This is my top play of the night.

- Colon is 5-0 with a 2.45 ERA at home this year. The A's finish strong as well. The Cubs won't have as much fight in them tonight after their devastating defeat last night. Garza has been good so I might also do the under 7.5.

- Lester has been very good at home and I see them winning easily in this interleague matchup.

- Big positive juice with the defending champs at full strength.
Rockies vs. Dodgers under 9.5 -115 1.15 Units
- Two really good pitchers should help keep this game relatively low scoring. Maybe a 5-4 finish.

- Scherzer has been great this year and I think Johnson can come through tonight.

- Its a lot of juice but I couldn't pass on the Nationals at home with Strasburg going against the Brewers. Seems like an easy one.

- Detroit has to win sometime right? Fister is their best pitcher.
Red Sox ML -200 6 Units, RL -105 2 Units
- Going big on the Red Sox at home tonight. Just have a really good feeling about this game. Not much research is needed.

July 1st Sports Picks, Evening Games
For tonight I like these games:
Nationals ML -185 4 Units
- Zimmerman is 8-0 with a 1.09 ERA at home. The Brewers are bad on the road. This is a no-brainer
Reds ML -153 4 Units
- The Reds have a big pitching edge, they are very good at home (26-14), the Giants are bad on the road (15-27) and the Giants haven't been playing well lately.
Marlins ML -130 2 Units
- Miami is playing well and Fernandez can shut down any team when he's on.
Rays vs. Astros under 8 -105 2 Units
- Two good pitchers. I see a low scoring game.
