August 5th Sports Picks
Another good day for me yesterday as I was up over 1 unit. Here are my plays today:
Braves +120 $100 to win $120
- I hate betting against Strasburg but the Braves and Minor have been very good and I'll take the chance with the positive juice today.
Dodgers +137 $100 to win $137
- The Dodgers have been playing very well of late and Greinke is their best pitcher. Wainwright hasn't been his normal shut down self of late. Great odds for the Dodgers today.
Royals -170 $200 to win $117.60
-The Royals are another really hot team and they are at home against the Twins who just swept the Astros. This is a great spot to go Royals as Guthrie has look very good over his last two starts and has very good career numbers against the Twins. Correia has a 6.11 ERA on the road and a 5.01 ERA against KC in his career.
Red Sox -195 $100 to win $51.30
- Lots of juice in this game but I really like the Red Sox to win this game. Lackey has been great this year and Houston just got swept by the Twins. I can't go huge on this game because Oberholtzer has pitched very well lately.
Giants -159 $640 to win $400
- Gaudin has been very good and has a 1.96 ERA at home. Milwaukee isn't very good and they are starting an unproven converted relief pitcher who is inconsistent.
Rangers +105 $200 to win $210
- Texas has been playing very well and J. Williams has been one of the worst starting pitchers in all of baseball this year. Williams is actually coming off a good start against the Rangers but I don't think he'll do it twice in a row.
Mariners -135 $270 to win $200
- Iwakuma has been good and Dickey has not. That's all of analysis on this game.

Another rough day for me yesterday. I hope to have a much better day today. Here are my initial plays:
Rangers +105 (vs A's) 1 Unit to win 1.05 Units
- The Rangers have been hot and the A's have cooled a little. Garza is much better than Parker.
Orioles -1.5 +105 (vs. M's) 2 Units to win 2.1 Units
- I really like the O's at home. Feldman is really good and Ramirez has a 7.71 ERA.
Angels -1.5 +120 (vs. Blue Jays) 2 Units to win 2.4 Units
- This play is based on the fact that Weaver has been hittable of late. He has a 2.06 ERA at home this year. The Angels offense has been good lately and Rogers gave up 8 ER in his last start.
Indians -127 (vs. Marlins) 2 Units to win 1.58 Units
- Cleveland has been hot and finally lost yesterday. I think they get back in the win column today and start a new streak.
Pirates -1.5 +103 (vs. Rockies) 1 Unit to win 1.03 Units
- Lirano has been lights out this year and sports a 1.61 ERA at home. I think he can shut down the Rockies and the Pirates offense should be able to get a few runs off De La Rosa who has been good but is coming off a poor start.

August 1st Sports Picks
My July ended pretty poorly but I hope to get back on the winning track again starting today. My five plays today are:
Mets - 160 4.8 Units
- I can't avoid the pitching advantage the Mets have today. Go Harvey!
Phillies ML -120 1.8 Units, RL +170 1 Unit
- Matt Cain has been really bad this year so I'll go with the Phillies at home who are pitching Hamel.
White Sox vs. Indians under 7 -110 2.2 Units
- Another great pitching matchup with Sale vs. Masterson. Anything can happen but the odds say this will be a low scoring game. The wind is not a factor.
Mariners EVEN 2.5 Units
- Getting Felix Hernandez at these odds can't be ignored.
