Yesterday didn't go so well for me but I think tonight is going to be a great night.

Here are my picks:

SF Giants -145 $290 to win $200 vs. SL
- I can't not bet on the Giants when Bumgarner is pitching.  The guy is a man among boys and the Cardinals have and will struggle against him tonight.  Wainwright hasn't been good over his last two starts and the Giants are hitting the ball really hard. 

SF Giants vs. Cardinals under 6 -105 52.50 to win $50
- Big time pitchers dual but the bats have been alive so I just can't bet to much but the numbers say this will be low scoring.

VT -1 $105 to win $100 vs. Pitt
- Virginia Tech has been good on the road and Pitt has struggled over their last two games.  I really like the Hokies to take care of business on the road tonight.

VT +5.5 / Over 39 6.5 teaser -120 $180 to win $150
- Both teams has been putting up points.  Historically these teams are defensive minded but not this year!

New England Patriots -9.5 $165 to win $150
- Tom Brady and the Patriots have been on fire lately.  Ever since they were home underdogs vs. Cincinnati they have been taking it out on teams.  Tonight will be no different.  These teams do not like each other and New England is the much better team and are at home on a Thursday.  The Jets don't have a chance

Patriots -2.5 / Over 37 7 pt teaser -130 $260 to win $200
- I wanted to go the over 44 but I just couldn't pull the trigger so this teaser looks really good to me.

Utah -2 $110 to win $100
- Utah is much better than Oregon St this year so I'll take a chance on the road favorite.

Wednesday October 15, 2014 Sport Picks

I am loving the baseball playoffs so far.  They are entertaining and close.  I also loved watching the Monday night football game last night.  Both teams were super fast and were hitting super hard.  Did anyone else know that?  Kaepernick didn't have much time in the pocket but he made things happen.  It was a great performance on his part.  He sure loves playing indoors on that turf.  For Wednesday, here are the plays I'm going with:

Cardinals +105 $200 to win $210
- St. Louis needs this win and is the better team in this series.  Both teams have been playing at a high level but I love Wong, Carpenter and Adams.  All left handed hitters who get to go against a right handed pitcher in Vogelsong.  Ryan Vogelsong hasn't pitched very well this year but is coming off a good start.  I'm pretty sure that won't be repeated tonight.  He has a 6.17 ERA against the Giants in his career and has struggled a bit lately.  He is 0-3 with a 5.06 ERA over the past 30 days.  Plus left handed hitters have hit much better against him than right (.287 ave. for L vs. .223 for R).  The Cardinals have a lot of good left handed hitters as I have mentioned.  For the Cardinals, Shelby Miller has had an up and down year but he has been pitching very well of late.  He has given up more than two earned runs in only one of his last seven starts (3 ER).   Miller has pitched extremely well of late and has a 1.46 ERA against SF in his career (only two starts).  I like the Cardinals chances in this one to even up the series.

Cardinals vs. Giants under 7 EVEN $150 to win $150
-Last night we saw 9 runs scored but we are in a pitcher's park in the national league in cool weather.  Both pitchers have the ability to pitch well and I think this game will finish at something like 4-2 (Cards).  But I must admit it was impressive on how hard the Giant's hit the ball in first inning last night.  Pence had a great double down the right field line on an 0-2 pitch.  I don't have a whole lot of research that goes into this pick..I just have a feeling about it. 

I may have a pick on the Royals vs. O's game once the line has been posted.

Monday October 7, 2014 Sport Picks

Had a good day on Sunday.  The Patriots made me a lot of money.  That was an opportunity that doesn't come around too often.  Hope most of you took advantage.  For Monday I have one game that I feel really great about.  The others I feel good about. 

SF Giants - 145 $435 to win $300
- The Giants are playing much better than the Nationals and have the better overall team.  They have the momentum in this series and are home where they were 45-36 during the regular season.  That stat really means nothing because the Nationals were 45-36 on the road during the regular season!  So it comes down the the starting pitching and how these teams have played recently and against each other.  My big bet is solely on one reason and one reason only.  Madison Bumgarner.  In my opinion, Bumgarner is the very best pitcher in all of baseball right now.  If you saw his last start you would understand why I say that.  He is coming off a complete game shutout and I think that carries over to this game.  He is a beast and Washington just can't hit.   On the other side, Doug Fister has been very good this year and especially lately (1.26 ERA over his past 30 days).  Fister is 4-0 over the past 30 days.  So why would I go so big on the Giants??  Bumgarner is on another level right now.  He is head and shoulders above everyone.  He is in the same league as Kershaw and I think he has him beat right here right now.  This sure will be a pitcher's duel and I'm looking forward to seeing SF win 2-0.

Tom Brady has lost a step and is slow and inaccurate but the Patriots want and need to win this game.  They are a home underdog in primetime.  I just can't see them losing this game.  They will give it everything they have.  I'm looking forward to watching this game.

So I took a little time off but now is such a great time for sports.  I love the MLB playoffs, NCAA Football and of course NFL.  For Saturday here are the picks I'm going with:

NCAAF:

FL St -38 $110 to win $100
- Florida State is the best team in the country.  I know they haven't shown it like they did last year but they still have a player named Jameis Winston.  Winston is the best player in the country and he has an amazing supporting cast.  They are playing at home coming off a tough win vs. NC St.  I'm guessing they want to make a statement in front of their home crowd.  FL St wins easily 52-10

Indiana -12.5 $110 to win $100
- Indiana is in the Big Ten and they are much improved over the past few years.  This team has a very good offense.  They are playing a team called North Texas.  North Texas!!  Come on now.  Indiana will take care of business coming off the loss.  42-17

East Carolina -41 $110 to win $100
- This spread is huge!  However, I'm going with the -41.  Why?  Because SMU is not good.  They are one of the worst teams in college football, and maybe ever!  haha.  They lost to North Texas by 37.  North Texas!!!  East Carolina is a very good football team.  They beat Virgina Tech on the road and they completely killed North Carolina by 29 points!  This team can put up points and they aren't going to be nice to SMU

Cincinnati -4 $110 to win $100
- I'm confused on this line.  Memphis is only 2-2 and just lost their best rusher.  I understand they played UCLA tough but UCLA isn't all that good and they played very poorly in that game.  Memphis is ok but they aren't good enough to win on the road against a good team like Cincy.  31-24

 Virginia ML -210 $420 to win $200
-Virginia has played very well at home and their crowd sure supports them.  Pitt just lost to Iowa at home and then Akron at home..  Akron!!  Virgina gave UCLA a run for their money in their first game losing by 8 but since they won their next two home games, including a win vs. Louisville.  VA 35-17

South Carolina ML -170 $340 to win $200
- Really?  South Carolina vs. Kentucky and they are only a slight favorite??  Come on now.  This South Carolina team is good.  Really good!  They are only 3-2 but every game they have played has been against a very good opponent.  They know they need this game.  They will give it everything they have and they are way too talented not to win today. Kentucky is better this year (3-1) but they don't have the talent or the crowd noise to compete with SC in this one..

Stanford vs. ND under 47.5 $220 to win $200
- This seems to be the game of the night.  I love both teams and they both have good offenses.  However, they are both defined more by their defenses.  Stanford has the better defense and is only giving up an average of 6.5 points per game.  Notre Dame is home so they have that going for them.  The Irish shut out Michigan in week 2 and has played really good defense in the other games they have played.  The under is the play.  This will be a closely fought game but I'm not sure who will win.

Baylor vs TX over 58.5 $165 to win $150
- Baylor is averaging almost 60 points!  They have a very high powered offense and TX doesn't have the best defense.  This over/under is a bit confusing and I think we have an easy one here.  Go the over.

Wash St -160 $320 to win $200
- Washington St has a very good QB.  Quarterback is the most important position on the field and a good QB can make up for other deficiencies (see Peyton Manning in Indy).  Wash St has a very good home field advantage and played very well against Oregon a few weeks ago.  Cal is 3-1 on the year but they haven't been winning convincingly.  They don't play good defense at all and Wash St will take full advantage.

TX A&M +125 $200 to win $250
- Big bet on A&M.  Why?  They need this win.  They are trying to stay undefeated so they can go to the playoffs.  This is a team destined to make it into the final four.  They aren't the best team but they have a great coach and a lot of motivation.  This is a team who beat South Carolina by 24 on the road.  Last week they had a major test but took care of Arkansas at home in OT.  They were probably looking ahead to this huge road game against Miss ST who is 4-0 and coming off a huge win vs. LSU on the road.  This is going to be a fun game to watch but I can't help but take the +125 on the #3 ranked team.  A&M 35-31

UCLA vs Utah under 64 $220 to win $200
- Lots of great opportunities this weekend.  UCLA put up a lot of points last week but that was against an AZ St team that just doesn't play defense.  64 is a good number but I just have a feeling this will be a hard fought defensive battle to finish something like the Utah vs. Wash St game of 28-27.

Hello Everyone!!!

Time to get picks in now.  Here is what I'm going with on week 2 of the NFL:

Miami vs Buf under 42.5 $165 to win $150

- From what I saw on week one, both of these teams have a good defense and both of these teams like to run the ball.  They both have very good running backs so you know they are going to be handing the ball off.  This means the clock is going to be running.  Take the under!!!

Jacksonville +6 $110 to win $100

- The Jags have a good defense.  They have a good QB and good WRs!  They play a team that was good in the past but isn't as good today.  Washington has a bad defense and a QB that is totally over rated.  Being right early in the season is so important and you can make a lot money on this game if if go Jacksonville.  Trust Jonny G on this one!  

Titans -3.5 $165 to win $150

- Tennessee looked good last week vs. KC.  They have a very good Defense so we know they will be just fine in this one at home.  Dallas has one of the worst defenses I have ever seen.  Last week SF had no problem throwing on there inept secondary.  I know Dallas has a good offense but offense never wins games.  The Titans win by 14.  Go Big!!

Cardinals -2 $220 to win $200

- AZ looked good last week.  They just couldn't pull off the win on the road.  Tonight they play at home and they are motivated to win.  This team is balanced.  They have a great great defense.  They have a good QB and a wonderful team of both wide receivers and running backs.  This team is destined!  For stardom.....  San Diego is old and slow.  They are ok but they won't make the playoffs this year.  I like Rivers and Allen but overall they are just too old and slow.  Go AZ in this one!!!

Vikings +5.5 $330 to win $300

-  Wow, I'm going a lot on a Vikings team that doesn't have AP.  Um, why??  Because.  They don't need him.  They have a great coaching staff and are clicking as a team.  Plus, they have a dude named Patterson...  The Pats are on the downslide.  Go Vikes at home here.  Big time...  No brainer....

Saints / Bengals Parlay $150 to win $140

- I love both of these teams to win even though they both have tough matchups.  The Saints will not go 0-2.  Cleveland is better but I can't see them beating Brees and his weapons.  Cincinnati looked very good on the road last week against the Ravens and won that game.  Today they get a home game vs. the Falcons who beat the Saints.  But just know that home vs. away is huge in the NFL.  Atlanta just isn't the same on the road and the Bengals are really really good at home.  Easy Parlay with good odds!

Rams +5.5 $165 to win $150

- St. Louis got their asses kicked in by my Minnesota Vikings.  They just aren't as good as they were last year.  Last week tells that.  So don't think they will start playing like a super bowl champ!!  However..........  I'm taking them in this matchup.  Why??  Because they are playing Tampa Bay.  The Bucs are probably the worst team in the NFL this year.  They have no offense. Martin and Evans have really disappointed in my opinion and when that happens it is not good for a franchise.  This team is not going to do well this year.  Rams suck but they will stay close in this one.....

Seahawks -255 $255 to win $100

- Seattle is the best team in the NFL so I'm gong to be betting with them a lot.  San Diego is coming off a short week and that is never good for a team.  The Seahawks just had a long break and a lot of time to prepare for this game.  They are going to be ready for this game and most likely will blow out San Diego!  Rivers is good but he struggles under pressure and there is going to be a lot of pressure!!

Sea / GB Parlay $200 to win $103

- Green Bay is at home and they have had a lot of rest.  They don't lose two in a row very often.  They are playing a Jets team that is very very poorly coached.  They have no pass game and their defense has struggled this year.  Green Bay wins easily... Trust me, Jonny G........

GB / DEN Parlay $250 to win $110

- I really like both of these teams to win.  It would be unwise not to parlay them together.  Easy hundred bucks!!!

GB -8 $165 to win $150

- Green Bay and Rodgers rarely lose after a loss.  They are at home in this one and are playing a team that isn't very good.  I love Green Bay to win this this game and this bet is that they win by a decent amount.  They need this win and do not want to keep it close so I think they win by 10+  Easy win here!

Den -6.5 / Over 44 6.5 teaser $200 to win $167

- I won't be doing too many teasers but this one just seems like a good fit.  Denver is at home and we all know they are very capable of winning by 7 or more.  Last year they put up a lot of points and I think they were close to putting up 44 points alone!  KC has some injury concerns on defense so this game WILL go over 44.  I promise you all!!!  

Sun night:
49ers -7 $220 to win $200

- Did you see how good SF was last week??   They are going to win at home.  And they will win by more than 7.  Do you really need analysis?? 

Monday night pick will be posted later tonight or tomorrow and you do not want to miss that pick!  The monday night pick is the money pick.  Wooooahh.
