I went 2-4 yesterday. Things did not go my way at all. Coming off a bad day is always the best recipe for making a lot of money the following day. I'm picturing an up 10 unit day today. Here's what I like today:
Mets/Cards under 6.5 -120 1 Unit
- This almost seems too easy with Harvey vs. Wainwright but these guys probably won't pitch the entire game and the wind is blowing out to left. I'm willing to risk one unit on this with the potential for a pitcher's dual.
Reds -125 2 Unit
- Latos has been good on the road and Samardzija isn't as good at home.
Reds/Cubs under 7 -120 2.5 Unit
- Wind blowing in 14 MPH and two really good pitchers.
Yankees / A's under 7.5 -120 1.5 Units
- I'm doing more under bets today. Two really good pithers. Parker has been much better recently and has really good career numbers against the Yanks (1.13 ERA). Kuroda has been really good this year. I like doing unders on day games.
Red Sox -110 2 Units
- Red Sox have the pitching advantage. Doubront has had a lot of success against the O's in his career.
Giants -1.5 +150 2 Units
- I see Cain pitching well tonight and he's going up against Morton who hasn't pitched in over a year.
Rays -140 3 Units
- Hellickson was great in his last start at home throwing a 4 hitter over 6 innings against the O's.
Rangers -193 6 Units
- I keep losing with the Rangers. Not tonight. Rangers win with Darvish
Twins/Phillies under 7.5 -120 2 Units
- Cliff Lee has been really good this year and Correia has been really good at home (2.95 ERA).
Spurs -1 EVEN 2 Units
- The Spurs completely manhandled the Heat in game 3. Only 2 units on this but I really can't go against the Spurs after what they did in game 3. The Heat may be motivated to even the series so it really could go either way.
*** At the last minute I decided to switch my bet to the Heat at -1 for 2 Units. I just had to do it. This is such a toss up and I really want the Heat to even this series up.

June 12 Picks
Yesterday I went 3-3 and finished about even on the day. My goal is to make money not break even so I'm not too happy about that. Baseball is a great sport but its really hard to predict from day to day. These are the games I like today:
Reds vs Cubs under 8 -105 1.5 Units
- Leake is good on the road and Wood is good at home. Both pitchers are good so this should be a low scoring game.
Cardinals -1.5 -105 1 Unit
- The Cards are hot and their best pitcher is on the hill tonight.
Marlins +1.5 -170 2.5 Units
- Miami really shouldn't be the underdog today vs. Milwaukee at home.
Rangers - 130 3 Units
- I think the Rangers bounce back tonight and win. Tepesch has a 2.67 ERA at home.
White Sox -173 2 Units
- White Sox have been playing well and they have Sale on the mound who sports a 2.13 ERA at home
Bruins +1.5 -240 3 Units
- I don't really know which team will play better in this series but I'm expecting a lot of one goal games.
Bruins/Blackhawks under 5 -140 2 Units
- I'm expecting a low scoring game. Both goalies are playing well.

June 11 Picks
The luck really wasn't on my side yesterday. I was looking at going 4-1 when the Rays had the bases loaded in the 10th tied 8-8 with no outs. A simple sacrifice fly would have won the game. Nope. Double play, home to first. Red Sox win later. Then the Dodgers get a great start from Kershaw and are up 3-1 going into the 9th. What happens? League blows the save and gives up 4 runs. I was surprised the Mariners didn't blow their lead! I'm not going to worry about it. That's baseball and I know I'll just get it back today.
For today, here are the games I like:
Spurs -2 1.5 Units
- I don't like the Spurs but I think they win game 3 at home.
Cardinals -130 2.5 Units
- The Cards are hot right now and don't like the Mets. New York is 22-45 in their last 67 home games and 0-4 in Hefner’s last five home starts. St. Louis is 21-7 in their last 28 road games.
Red Sox - 120 1.5 Units
- Like I said, I hate betting against the Red Sox. I shouldn't have gone with the Rays yesterday. Today I can bet with the team I like.
Red Sox /Rays over 8 -110 1 Unit
- Runs should be scored again in this one. Lester hasn't been as good on the Road. But the Sox still win.
Rangers -1.5 +115 1.5 Units
- Holland has been really good lately, especially at home. Kluber hasn't been good. I think the Rangers win this 7-3.
Tigers -1.5 Even 1.5 Units
- Tigers lost a close one yesterday and today they have a huge pitching advantage. I see them winning 8-2.
Dodgers - 134 1.5 Units
- I'm taking the Dodgers again tonight. Greinke will hold a lead. Just hope they don't put in League again.
Braves -116 1.5 Units
- Braves almost came back last night. Tonight they have the pitching advantage and the hitting advantage.

June 10 Picks
Yesterday was a good day. Up 6 Units on the day. Those are the type of days I want to continue. Here are the plays I am doing today. I may add one or two more later.
Brewers -118 1.5 Units
- I just have the hunch that Milwaukee and Gallardo will have a good game tonight. Nolasco has a 7.71 ERA vs. Milwaukee in his career and doesn't pitch well at home or at night compared to road/day.
Rays -130 1.5 Units
- I hate betting against the Red Sox but this is a situation where the numbers just tell me to go Rays. Cobb is the main reason. He is very good at home where he is 4-0 with a 1.91 ERA. He has had success against Boston in his career. Lackey has been good this year but has a 7.27 ERA on turf and is much better at home.
Tigers -140 2 Units
- Detroit has been hot and should be able to beat KC today. I just like the pitching matchup.
Mariners -240 4 Units
- Hisashi Iwakuma has been the best pitcher in all of baseball and sports a 1.08 ERA at home. And he's facing the Astros. Lots of juice but I still want to bet it. If you are worried that Seattle won't score runs then play the under as well.
LA Dodgers -173 3 Units
- Kershaw hasn't pitched all that great lately but he has great stats against the D-Backs. Wade Miley has not been pitching well.

June 9th Picks - Later Games
I was a little rushed this morning when I submitted the early picks. I do like the Rangers and Indians as dogs and the Red Sox to win easily. Sundays can be strange so I don't like to place large unit bets unless I really like something. For later, this is what I like:
Miami Heat -300 6 Units
- So I'm risking 6 units to win 2 units. The Spurs looked really good in game one but the Heat had the lead for most of the game. I will put my trust in Lebron today to even the series.
SL Cardinals -113 2.5 Units
- St. Louis has been very good of late. Yesterday they just faced a much better pitcher and the Reds prevailed which I expected. I will take the Cards today with Lynn on the hill who has a respectable 3.10 ERA on the road and pitched outstanding in his last start against Cincinnati (7 IP, 5 H, 1ER).
Rockies -175 3 Units
- Richards is 0-3 with a 10.18 ERA on the road this year. None of these starts were in CO where runs get scored. Nicasio is actually slightly better at home than on the road. I see the Rockies winning this game.
Twins Game 2 +112 1.5 Units
- I really like Deduno after seeing him pitch in the WBC. Over his last two starts he has given up 1 ER and 8 hits in 13 Innings. The Nationals are throwing some guy named Karns out there, who isn't very good.
Mariners -144 1 Unit
- Small bet since King Felix is pitching.

June 8 Picks
Well things were going really well yesterday and I was hoping for a 5-0 day but then the Phillies gave up a lead and lost and the Bonderman beat Kuroda. Crazy things can happen. I ended up breaking even on the day. For today, here's what I like:
LA Kings +1.5 -200 4 Units
- I think the Kings will be motivated today and they need the win if they are going to keep this series going.

- Two really good pitchers against two really bad offenses

- Cardinals are hot right now but the pitching matchup really says the Reds should win.

- Yankees should win today with Pettitte against the lowly Mariners
