Here are my picks for today:
Navy -13 $165 to win $150
- Navy has played well all year and finished the season at 7-4. They had some nice wins this season against Indiana, Pitt and San Jose St. Amy finished at just 3-8 and didn't have any key wins. They lost to Air Force 42-28, a team Navy easily beat.
Navy vs. Army Over 49 $220 to win $200
- Navy has a very good offense that was on full display against San Jose St in their last game. That game also exposed their defense which had a very hard time stopping anything that San Jose St. threw at them. Navy put up an average of 34.4 points per game and Army scored an average of 26. Both teams give up a lot of points (27.6 Navy, 31.4 Army). This game really should go over 49. I'm surprised this total is so low.
NCAAB
Indiana -4 $165 to win $150
- I'm taking the Hoosiers in this one because they have more talent than Notre Dame and have been playing well this year. They are 8-2 Notre Dame is 7-3 but they have had trouble putting away sub par teams this year. They are coming off a loss against North Dakota St.
Washington -11 $110 to win $100
- The Huskies are home and they historically have been very good at home. They started the season off a little slow going 4-4 but they haven't had trouble scoring points so far. Idaho St is 3-3 on the season has has lost three of their last five games. They lost 88-60 against Arizona St.
North Carolina -3 $165 to win $150
- UNC has had impressive wins against Michigan St (79-65 on the road) and Louisville (93-84 on the road) so they appear to get up for big games. Kentucky hasn't beat a ranked team this year and recently lost to Baylor on the road and Michigan St on the road.
Butler vs. Purdue under 143 $110 to win $100
- If I had to pick I winner I would go with Butler because they have played very well at home this year but Purdue has performed well so I wasn't as confident. I like the under in this game. Both teams can play good defense and 143 is a lot of points in college basketball.
NBA
Knicks +1 $165 to win $150
- New York has had a disappointing season so far and are just 6-16. But they won their last home game and looked pretty good in that game and they are 2-1 in their last three home games. Atlanta is just 4-7 on the road. I think New York starts to play better and it starts tonight.
Bulls -2.5 $110 to win $100
- Chicago is 6-3 at home this year and Toronto is 4-6 on the road. Toronto has some new players and it may take some time for them to get used to get in sync with their new team.
Spurs -6.5 $165 to win $150
- The Spurs are one of the best teams in the NBA at 18-4 and Utah is one of the worst teams in the NBA at 6-19. The Spurs are on fire right now winning three straight. The Spurs are 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games and 11-3 against the spread in their last 14 games vs. teams with a losing record. Utah is just 3-9 at home.
