Well baseball season is now over. It was a great season and I'll be looking forward to next year. I can now devote my attention on Football, Basketball and Hockey. Yesterday I was 4-3-1 for -530. The Cardinals couldn't keep the game close and a last second TD by Cincinnati killed my teaser. I was 4-0 in NBA so that is promising. For today, here are my picks:
Dolphins +3 -105 $210 to win $200
- Miami has lost three straight but they are home on a short week and the Bengals are coming off a blowout win last week. This is a must win for the Dolphins and they are much better than people give them credit for.
Dolphins +9.5 / Over 37 6.5 Teaser -130 $260 to win $200
- This game is a toss up so getting the extra points is very nice. Both teams have good defenses but they both can move the ball on offense so I'm expecting this game to be a tight game in the 20s. Something like 23-21.
Houston U -18.5 -110 $110 to win $100
- Houston is 6-1 and are coming off a dominating win against Rutgers 49-14 and this game was on the road. The game before they almost beat a very good BYU team and lost by one. Tonight they get to play one of the worst teams in college football in South Florida.
Troy -3 -110 $110 to win $100
- Troy has been playing well lately and they are coming off a big win against Western Kentucky on the road. LA Monroe is a little over rated. They lost to Western Kentucky 31-10 at home. I don't see this game being very close.
AZ St -9.5 (buy 2 pts) $160 to win $100
- Arizona State looks extremely good on offense this year. They just smoked Washington 53-24 and Washington St is nothing even close to as good as Washington. AZ St hasn't played as well on the road but Washington St hasn't played well at home. They were blown out over there last two home games against Stanford and Oregon St.

I went 3-0 yesterday for +305. For today, here are my plays:
Cardinals +1.5 -190 $570 to win $300
- St. Louis has the pitching edge today in Wacha vs. Lackey. Wacha has been unhittable against any not named David Ortiz. The Cardinals hit righties much better than lefties. This is an elimination game and they will give it everything they have to try and win. I really see a close game tonight.
Cardinals vs. Red Sox under 7 -120 $240 to win $200
- Both Wacha and Lackey have been pitching great lately. Wacha has given up just 3 earned runs in his four starts and the St. Louis bullpen has given up zero runs in all of Wacha's playoff starts. Lackey hasn't been as good but he has good look in his last two playoff starts and his last appearance. It will be a chilly night in Boston.
NCAA Cincinnati +4.5 / under 51.5 6.5 teaser -130 $260 to win $200
- Cincinnati is 5-2 and coming off a huge win over Kentucky. They have much more talent than Memphis who is 1-5. The over/under is tough. Memphis doesn't have much of an offense so I'm going with the under.
NBA and NHL:

- Boston is in a rebuilding year but they are coached to play good defense.

October 28, 2013 Sports Picks
Yesterday I went 9-2 for +1,307. I'd like to say I'm back people! Two very positive days in a row. For tonight, I'm going with these:
Continued from Yesterday: Den / GB / Sea Parlay $200 to win $114
- I won Denver and Green Bay easily and I have no concerns with Seattle beating the Rams with Clemons starting.
Seahawks -12.5 -110 $165 to win $150
- I really like Seattle this year and believe they are the best team in the NFC and possibly the entire NFL. Russell Wilson is so versatile and always knows when to tuck the ball and run. He is averaging 5.6 yards per carry. The Rams are a mess right now. They lost their QB and will be putting their trust in Kellen Clemons. I just can't see anything happening tonight other than a Seattle blowout. My guess is 35-7.
Seahawks -5.5 / Under 51 7 Pt Teaser -140 $280 to win $200
- I like getting the line down a little and I was on the fence on the over under. Over 36 or under 50. The Rams can play good defense from time to time but they won't have much of an offense tonight so the chances of a lower scoring game are greater in this spot but Seattle can score on both sides of the ball.

- This is a great spot to take the Cardinals. This is their last home game of the season and they are pitching their best pitcher. Wainwright is much better at home (2.53 ERA) and will give it everything he has to give the home crowd a win. Lester was great in game 1 but he is not as good on the road (4.21 ERA).
Red Sox vs. Cardinals under 7 -135 $350 to win $259
- This is set up to be a great pitching duel and I think Wainwright can shut down the Sox before the bullpen gets involved. Big Pappi is my favorite player so he's the Red Sox's only hope in this one. The Cardinals haven't hit lefties as well this year so I'm expecting a low scoring game where game time temps will be in the 50s.
Penguins -145 $145 to win $100
- This is a complete mismatch. Pittsburgh (7-4) is much more talented than Carolina (4-4). The Penguins are coming off three straight losses and I'm sure they will want to end that streak tonight.

October 27, 2013 Sports Picks
Yesterday I went 9-4 for +670. It feels good to have a very good day and I hope to keep it going on Sunday. Here are my picks today:
49ers -15.5 -110 $220 to win $200
- San Fran is on fire right now mainly with their running game and their defense. Jacksonville can't stop anyone and their offense is inconsistent.
SF -9.5 / Dal +9 6 pt teaser -120 $240 to win $200
- Dallas almost beat Denver and they are playing very well. Detroit just lost at home against the Bengals.
Dal/Det over 51.5 -110 $330 to win $300
- Dallas can move the ball like nobody's business. I saw that game against Denver and I see this game as being similar. Both teams don't run the ball all that good so we'll see a lot of passes which means bigger plays or in completions which will stop the clock.
KC / Saints Parlay $470 to win $202
- Both the Chiefs and the Saints are two of the best teams in the NFL. They are both playing at home against inferior teams. I would be very surprised if either team lost on Sunday.
Bengals -240 $240 to win $100
- Cincy is coming off a huge road win against Detroit and come home to play the Jets. The Jets are coming off an emotional win and they might be a little flat on Sunday. I'll take the better team at home.
KC/Denver Parlay $600 to win $258
- Kansas City is so good and Cleveland is having a problem finding a QB. I am actually surprised the line isn't more like -13.5 in this game. The Chiefs win for sure. The Broncos are coming off a loss so they will be extra motivated to win this game. They are home and playing a Washington team who has struggled early and is coming off a very emotional win at home. I really don't see this game being close.

- New England hasn't played great this year but they have Gronk back and the running game is playing much better. They have owned Miami especially in New England and the Dolphins haven't played as well lately after their good start. They are coming off three losses in a row. NE is 3-0 at home this year.

- The Giants are playing so much better over there last two games and aren't making as many mistakes. The Eagles are fun to watch but they don't play defense and their offense makes mistakes. Pittsburgh started off slow but they have played better and they are coming off two big wins. Atlanta lost some key offensive weapons but I think they are still much better than the Cardinals and should at least keep this game close.

I weny 1-2 for -175 yesterday. Saturday's are my day. I'm keeping it to a minimum today but still have a lot of plays. Here they are:
- Virginia Tech is playing great ball are are now ranked #14. They do not want to lose this game at home against an inferior Duke team. Kansas St has played well in there three straight losses against three very good teams. They get a home game today against West Virginia who I just don't like. They don't have much of a passing game.
TX Tech +6.5 -110 $165 to win $150
- I think Texas Tech wins this game straight up but I'm taking the points in this one. Oklahoma hasn't impressed me at all and recently lost against Texas. Most of their wins have been close or against inferior opponents. Texas Tech will come ready to play and will want to keep their undefeated season going. I don't have anything bad to say about Tech this year.
- Oregon is unstoppable and they need to keep blowing teams out if they are going to make the National Championship. I was not impressed at all with UCLA over their last three games and I would be surprised if they keep this game close.
S. Carolina +9.5 / OH St -9 6.5 teaser -130 $130 to win $100
- I was very impressed with Missouri's ability to win a game without their starting QB but they had no trouble with Florida last week. South Carolina has looked strong recently and were probably looking ahead to this game last week when they lost to Tennessee. I think we see a close game regardless of who wins. Ohio St is one of my favorite teams this year. I don't see them losing any games this year. When they are home they usually blow the opposition out. Penn State is good but they don't play as well on the road. Two weeks ago they lost 44-24 to Indiana.

- I wasn't impressed with how Miami played against UNC in their last game but they are talented. Wake Forest is actually pretty good. They beat Maryland 34-10 last week and beat NC State 28-13 the week before. I can't see them getting blown out in this spot.

- Nebraska knows how to beat inferior teams and it looks like they get Taylor Martinez back. Minnesota won last week but they have been inconsistent.

Sorry for my late post today. I was 2-2 yesterday for -170. Here are the games I'm going with tonight:
Carolina Panthers -265 $530 to win $200
- Carolina is playing good ball right now. They have a good balanced team on both offense and defense. They are coming off two impressive games against the Vikings and Rams and tonight they get the win less Bucs. They put a lot of pressure on the QB so Vincent Jackson will have a hard time getting open deep. Looks like they lost Martin to injury so the running game will be non-existent. Newton is also on fire. He was 15-17 last week.
Panthers vs. Bucs under 40 -110 $110 to win $100
- I see a lot of running by the Panthers tonight and normally Thursday nights are lower scoring. Tampa will probably get shut out.
Miss St / Marshall Parlay $250 to win $132
- I don't have much analysis on this game. Miss St is home and they are better than Kentucky. Marshall is much better than Middle Tenn St. Just taking both favorites in a parlay. Don't read too much into this one.

- I lost this bet last night and we are going to see a low scoring game at least a few times this series. - Carolina is playing good ball right now. They have a good balanced team on both offense and defense. They are coming off two impressive games against the Vikings and Rams and tonight they get the win less Bucs. They put a lot of pressure on the QB so Vincent Jackson will have a hard time getting open deep. Looks like they lost Martin to injury so the running game will be non-existent. Newton is also on fire. He was 15-17 last week.

- I see a lot of running by the Panthers tonight and normally Thursday nights are lower scoring. Tampa will probably get shut out.
Miss St / Marshall Parlay $250 to win $132
- I don't have much analysis on this game. Miss St is home and they are better than Kentucky. Marshall is much better than Middle Tenn St. Just taking both favorites in a parlay. Don't read too much into this one.

- I lost this bet last night and we are going to see a low scoring game at least a few times this series. This is a great spot as Wacha is pitching amazing and over his three playoff starts he has only given up one run. Lackey out dueled Verlander in his last start winning 1-0. Lackey is much better at home (2.47 ERA).

- Home field advantage is big in the World Series. This is a really tough game to predict so I think I'm going to be picking the home team in almost every game. The Cardinals have struggled against lefties this year and Lester has been very good at home all year. Wainwright is very good but he isn't as good on the road.

- I was impressed with how LA Lafayette played last week and they took down a good Western Kentucky team on the road. They have now won four straight and travel to Arkansas State tonight. The Red Wolves have been a powerhouse in their conference in the past but this year they sit at just 3-3. They did play Missouri pretty tough but they lost 31-7 to Memphis which is the deal breaker for me. Plus they only beat a bad Troy team by 7 at home. This is a tough game to pick but I'm going with the hot hand. It will be a cool night in Arkansas and both teams like to run the ball so I don't think we go over 74.

Red Sox Win
I just wanted to write a little on my observations with the Red Sox's win tonight. This team was predicted to be fourth or fifth in their division and they really proved everyone wrong. I'm disappointed that Leyland took out Scherzer out in the 7th even though he had 110 pitches. I'm sure Max isn't so happy that both games he pitched in the ALCS his team was up big when he came out and both times his team lost after the relief pitching blew it. Two grand slams?? I'm a big fan of Veras and his curve is amazing but they should have let Max finish that inning. Iglesias is horse shit. I know he went 2 for 4 tonight but that error was a killer. He plays like a cocky idiot and needs to be coached better. Leyland doesn't coach so I can understand why he plays that way. If I was manager I know I wouldn't play that kid. I do like the lineup change however. Play your best players at the top of the lineup. Managers make a mistake of batting their best player fourth way too many times. The top three hitters should be a team's best three hitters. You want your best hitters getting the most at bats as possible. Koji Uehara is amazing! Who is this guy? He was born in 1975 and has been in the MLB since 2009 and has pitched pretty well for most of his career. Its just odd that a stud like this would just now make his name known to everyone. He's one of the oldest players and finally has made a name for himself. I'm guessing he played in Japan for a while but still. Nice job. I love Big Pappi and I don't like Pedroia. Its really odd that hitters seem like they always slump during the postseason. There's exceptions but look at all the players who played so well during the regular season who slumped now (Cabrera, Ortiz, Fielder, Infante, Ellsbury, Pedroia, Salty, Gomez, etc. I understand once it gets colder the bats cool down but its very obvious.
Also, I must say that Brandon Cooks is one of the best wide receivers I have seen this year in college football. Nice job Oregon St! I'm kicking myself for not going $1,000 on the -10.5 tonight. The Mannion to Cooks combo is amazing this year. Both guys should be in the NFL soon. Also, Oregon is unstoppable. I really hope that we see Alabama vs. Oregon in National Championship this year. Both teams are miles above everyone else (except maybe FSU).

October 19, 2013 Sports Picks
I didn't do so well yesterday. I went 2-4 for -624. I was totally wrong on the Dodgers game. The Central FL game was looking good at the half scoring only 21 at that point but a few unfortunate things happened to push that game over my total. For Saturday I like these games:
No Ill -15.5 -110 $220 to win $200
- Northern Illinois has played great all year outside of last week when they only won by 7 against Akron. Other than that they beat Iowa, Purdue and Eastern Illinois. Central Michigan is 3-4 and lost to UNLV.
TX Tech -5 $330 to win $300
- TX Tech seems to have a very strong team. They are 6-0 and beat TCU, IA St and beat Kansas 54-16 on the road. West Virgina's QB has been hurt and probably won't start again on Saturday.
NW -12.5 $330 to win $300
- Northwestern is a very well coached team and played OH St tough at home. Before that game they were very strong. MN doesn't have it's coach and just got smoked by Michigan and Iowa.
Auburn +14 $220 to win $200
- Auburn is underrated this year. They are 5-1 on the year and there only loss came on the road against LSU. They beat a ranked Mississippi team and also beat Miss St. I like A&M a lot but there defense is suspect and this will most likely be a close high scoring game and most likely won by A&M.
OH St -18 $220 to win $200
- OH St is very very good and could easily be up by 21 by half. Iowa is decent but they just don't have the offense or defense to stay with OH St. They lost by 12 against Michigan St last week in IA and OH St is much better than MS and this game is in OS.
Tenn +7.5 $330 to win $300
- Tennessee has a very good home field advantage and that will play a huge part in this game. I have a feeling Tennessee will win this game straight up. They have looked good over the past 3-4 weeks and are coming off a bye. They almost beat GA in there last game and have won all their other games at home. South Carolina completely dominated last week against Arkansas but before that they have been shaky wining tight games and losing to GA.

- I love how Washington is coached and they only lost by 3 points two weeks ago at Stanford. AZ St is playing great ball right now but they are only 1-2 against the top 25 and Washington is ranked #20 and AZ St is not ranked.

- MO lost their QB and FL is very good. This is too easy.
Stan -5 $330 to win $300
- Stanford is coming off a road loss so that should give them extra motivation to win this game at home. They have a great running game, QB and DEF. UCLA is talented but has shown the risk of mistakes.

- USC is flat out better than ND. They haven't been very consistent but they have much more talent than ND.

- Utah beat UT St, BYU and Stanford. They barely lost to Ore St and UCLA so I think they will keep this game within 4. Arizona isn't all that good.

Well I finally had a winning day! I went 2-1-1 for +513. I'm planning to keep the wins coming as I like a lot of games this weekend, especially on Saturday and Sunday. For today here are my picks:
Central FL +14.5 -110 $220 to win $200
- Central Florida has looked good so far this year. They beat a good Penn St team and almost pulled off a win against South Carolina. They had a bit of a let down game last week but I'm sure they were looking ahead to this match-up against Louisville. Louisville hasn't impressed me and they struggled to get the win last week against Rutgers before pulling away late. Louisville is not a dominant team and even though they should win tonight I don't think they win by more than 14.
Central FL / Louisville under 55.5 -110 $110 to win $100
- Both teams have solid defenses and I'm envisioning a 24-17 type game tonight.
Central FL +21.5 / Under 62.5 7 PT Teaser $400 to win $308
- I've been somewhat successful with these type of two team teasers. I like Central Florida and the under so why not tease them to get some extra cushion?
Dodgers -132 $264 to win $200
- This is a great spot to bet the Dodgers. They are facing elimination and the best pitcher in the game is pitching. I think both series are destine to go seven. Kershaw has been stingy during the playoffs averaging 6.3 innings, 2.6 hits (wow) and 1.3 runs per start.

Russell Wilson is so dynamic and will make things happen with his arm and his legs. Arizona will have a hard time moving the ball against the Seahawks defense. A teaser with the under would also be a good bet as both teams are solid defensively.

October 16, 2013 Sports Picks
Well I went big and lost again. I went 2-2 yesterday for -1090. My Tigers bet cost me 1,500. They had their chances but couldn't push one run across. What's up with Cabrera and Fielder? Both struck out with a man on third.
Here's what I'm going with today:
Cardinals vs. Dodgers under 7 -115 $230 to win $200
- As the weather cools down so do the bats and we've seen many more low scoring games this post season. Both Greinke and Kelly are pitching at a high level. Kelly is coming off two quality starts and did pitch game one where the Cardinals won 3-2. Kelly has a 2.07 ERA on the road. Greinke is also coming off two strong starts this postseason and is better in day games (2.26 ERA) and at home (2.11 ERA). Both teams have very good bullpens.
Red Sox +1.5 -200 $600 to win $300
- I've been wrong on a lot of baseball games lately and yesterday was the worst of it. The team that is supposed to win has been losing. For example, Wainwright vs. Ryu and Verlander vs. Lackey. You wouldn't think that the winners would be Ryu and Lackey. I'm not going to start going against my research however. For tonight's game, the Red Sox are pitching Peavy who is coming off a great start on the road in Tampa. Peavy was in control of the game and went 5.2 innings and gave up just 5 hits and 1 run. The Tigers could not hit at all yesterday and I think that carries over to today. Fister has been decent and is coming off a start where he went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs. He has struggled against the Red Sox this year (5.23 ERA). I just can't get past how poorly Miguel Cabrera is playing. The best hitter in the game swung and missed on three fastballs. I also usually do one fantasy team each year and even though I don't know many players I have won my league every year for the past five years. The Ducks were one of the best teams last year and they carried that into this year as they started 4-1. They've won three straight and beat New York 6-0 and Ottawa 4-1 in their last two. Both were home games. Calgary is 3-0-2 but their strength of schedule hasn't been as good and all their wins were by one goal.

Cardinals vs. Dodgers under 7 -115 $230 to win $200
- As the weather cools down so do the bats and we've seen many more low scoring games this post season. Both Greinke and Kelly are pitching at a high level. Kelly is coming off two quality starts and did pitch game one where the Cardinals won 3-2. Kelly has a 2.07 ERA on the road. Greinke is also coming off two strong starts this postseason and is better in day games (2.26 ERA) and at home (2.11 ERA). Both teams have very good bullpens.
Red Sox +1.5 -200 $600 to win $300
- I've been wrong on a lot of baseball games lately and yesterday was the worst of it. The team that is supposed to win has been losing. For example, Wainwright vs. Ryu and Verlander vs. Lackey. You wouldn't think that the winners would be Ryu and Lackey. I'm not going to start going against my research however. For tonight's game, the Red Sox are pitching Peavy who is coming off a great start on the road in Tampa. Peavy was in control of the game and went 5.2 innings and gave up just 5 hits and 1 run. The Tigers could not hit at all yesterday and I think that carries over to today. Fister has been decent and is coming off a start where he went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs. He has struggled against the Red Sox this year (5.23 ERA). I just can't get past how poorly Miguel Cabrera is playing. The best hitter in the game swung and missed on three fastballs. October 15, 2013 Sports Picks
I went 0-4 for -1180. I was hot for a while but lately I'm a major losing streak. I hope the trend reverses today as I'm going big on my games. Here they are:

- I'm banking on Verlander continuing his trend of pitching amazing. Detroit now has home field advantage and Lackey is not nearly as good on the road.

Both teams have been playing well and I see this as a back and forth game where we see a lot of lead changes. I'll take the points as home field advantage isn't as important in a small school game like this.

October 14, 2013 Sports Picks
I had a rough day yesterday. I was completely wrong about the Texans and the Vikings. Overall I went 5-10 for -1467 for my posted picks. I was able to salvage a really bad day by adding a few bets on the later games (SEA/SF Parlay, Dallas ML, Dallas +.5 / Over 46.5 6 pt teaser) but it was still a bad day. NFL can be really tricky because whichever team prepares and executes the best will win. Its not always easy to predict but the more information you have is key. For tonight I'm going with these:
Cardinals -124 $620 to win $500
Cardinals -1.5 +135 $100 to win $135
- Wainwright pitched amazing in his last start against Pittsburgh and he is a big game pitcher. I can't bet against him and if Haney Ramirez doesn't play this is a no brainer. The Cardinals can hit and Ryu had a horrible game in his last start. I know the Dodgers are down 0-2 in the series but I just can't see them winning this game. Wainwright isn't as good on the road or in night games but he seems to be completely focused in right now and pitching the best he has all year. Ryu is better at home (2.32 ERA) and did pitch a good game against the Cardinals earlier this year but I can't go against the hotter team with the hotter pitcher.
Colts -2 -110 $220 to win $200
- This is a really tough game to handicap. The Colts are coming off a huge win against the Seahawks last week so they could have a let down. The Chargers are coming off a disappointing loss against the Raiders last week. Overall, the Colts are much better than the Chargers and Andrew Luck seems to be clicking with his receivers right now so I'm going to take the chance with them.

October 13, 2013 Sports Picks
Yesterday I was up and down and finished 11-8 for -90. If Stanford could have pulled out the win we would have been up big. I wish they would have run the ball on either 3rd or 4th down on that last drive. I think they would have scored. For Sunday, I don't like a lot of games but there are still good opportunities to make money. Here is what I'm going with:
Oak +19.5 / Balt +13 / Clev +13 7- pt teaser $400 to win $308
Vikings -2.5 -110 $220 to win $200
- I like MN's RBs, WRs, TE, Offense Line, Defensive like, and Kicker but I never liked Ponder as our QB. If Cassel starts I think they Vikes will win easily at home against Carolina.
Houston / SF Parlay $500 to win $280
- The Texans have struggled but they still have Foster, Tate, Johnson, etc. I think they run run run against St. Louis. The Rams aren't all that bad but they struggle on the road and Houston is one of the best teams in the AFC. San Fran should win easily at home against the Cardinals. They had a few down games but seem to have put things back together as they looked very strong in their last game.
Bengals -260 $400 to win $154
- Cincy has been very strong this year and even though they have lost two games on the road I think they can beat Buffalo with a QB who completely stinks. If Manuel was playing I wouldn't do this but I think Cincy wins this game easily with the rookie QB starting for the Bills.
Seahawks -14 EVEN $200 to win $200
- Seattle at home against a backup QB. Enough said.
Denver -26.5 -110 $165 to win $150
- I've thought about this game a lot this week and I just think that Denver will get up by at least 21 in the first half. I think the score will be 28-3 in the first half. Manning doesn't sit very often so after the third quarter they should be up by over 28 and will coast from there.

October 12, 2013 Sports Picks
I had an up and down day yesterday going 2-3 for -245. On Saturday there are a lot of college football games and I would probably bet every single one of them but I know that would not be wise so I'm selecting my favorites and going with it. I still have a ton of bets and usually do parlays on the ML for teams I think are locks. Here is what I'm going with:
NCAA 11am - 5pm
VT / MD Parlay $300 to win $254
- Virginia Tech has been playing very well and has won four straight games against quality opponents. Pittsburgh hasn't beat a quality opponent yet. Maryland plays Virginia who hasn't played well at all this year. They lost against Pitt and Ball St. in their last two games. Maryland beat West Virgina 37-0 before getting smoked by FSU last week. I think they bounce back this week.
TX AM / Wyoming Parlay $250 to win $164
- I love TX A&M and even though this could be a tough game for them I was not impressed at all with Ole Miss over their last two games. Johnny Football should be able to help his team win this game. Wyoming is much better than New Mexico. They only lost at Nebraska by three and they are 2-0 at home. New Mexico is better this year but they still have glaring problems on defense.
Stanford / GA Parlay $300 to win $222
- I was very impressed with Stanford last week and they will be motivated to keep their undefeated record in tack. They've played well on the road so far and Utah has lost two home games against quality opponents (Ore St, UCLA). Georgia has won some very good games this year. They beat S. Carolina and LSU. Missouri has been very good this year but they haven't played a team like Georgia yet. This should be an entertaining game.

- Baylor's offense is amazing and they put up 70 or more in their last three games. They had 56 points at half time last week against a pretty good West Virginia team. Kansas St has been average but this game could go either way.

- Clemson can put up points and Boston College has actually been putting up points this year as well. Last week they put up 48 points.

- I really like the Bruins this year and Cal has been getting beat down. I think UCLA wins by at least 28 but I can' go too crazy in this spot.

- Kershaw against Wacha. Kershaw has a slight edge as he is the NL Cy Young and has a 1.77 ERA on the season. That is amazing. I'm a little worried about him wearing down a little but he has proven me wrong every time. He hasn't had as much success against the Cardinals this year (4.15 ERA) so I can't bet with the Dodgers today. Wacha has been outstanding and is coming off a one hitter in his last start. I'm a little nervous going with the under when its only 6 but Kershaw could go the distance and Wacha could shut out the Dodgers until he comes out after 7 and St. Louis' bullpen is lights out.

- Boston is hot right now and they have the pitching advantage in game one. Lester has been great at home this year (7-1 3.09 ERA) and Sanchez struggled in his first postseason game.

- I feel very confident in Stanford and Mississippi St should have no trouble winning this game at home against Bowling Green. BG lost 42-10 in their last road game against Indiana.
ORE/Wash under 76.5 -110 $220 to win $200
- Oregon has put up a lot of points so far this year but this game is in Washington. The Huskies have a very good defense and will be motivated to win. Oregon has an underrated defense and since Washington has such a good defense I just don't think that the game will get up to 76 total points.
East Carolina / S. Carolina Parlay $200 to win $164
- East Carolina beat UNC the road and their only loss was against Virginia Tech. This week they get to play Tulane who are pretty good in their own right but I just think East Carolina is the better team. South Carolina has a tough road test at Arkansas but they are much better and should be able to win this game.
- Marshall has looked outstanding this year and Houston is much better than Memphis and they are home.

After a three day losing streak I came back very strong last night going 5-0 for +1,392. And that doesn't include the two bets I added late (prop on A Jackson and NYG +14.5/over 41 teaser). At the end of the day I made seven bets and won all seven. I got lucky on the AZ game but I've been so unlucky lately so I'll take it. Now its time to keep it going! I think the best four teams in the MLB are in the championship series so it should be very exciting. I'm not sure if I remember four teams as good as these ever. Here's what I have for Friday:
Temple +21 -110 $220 to win $200
- Cincinnati just lost to South Florida last week who I called the worst team in all of college football. Temple however might be worse than South Florida so the 21 point spread is pretty accurate. I just can't bet with Cincy after what happened last week and Temple played okay against Louisville last week.

October 10, 2013 Sports Picks
I've been on a cold streak going 0-2 yesterday for -920. I admit I made a mistake taking Pittsburgh at +1.5. I didn't realize Cole would be taken out after five innings. Why?? He was pitching great and only made one mistake up to that point and it was 2-0. I think I would have won both bets if they allowed him to go at least 7 innings. He only had 75 pitches up to that point. Oh well, must move one. Tonight I'm going big on NFL. Why? Because I'm on edge and need to score a big one. Here goes:
Bears -335 $2010 to win $600
- The New York Giants are a complete mess and I don't think they can turn things around tonight. They lost 31-0 to the Panthers and got smoked against the Eagles in NY last week. Chicago is good even though they lost two tough games on the road against the Lions and at home against the Saints. The line at -8 or -8.5 seems about right and as much as I would like to take NY with the +8.5 I just can't because of the possibilities of a blowout.
Tigers -105 $210 to win $200
- I learned my lesson last night. Don't bet against the pitcher who has experience who has been lights out in the playoffs. I don't care that Verlander hasn't pitched great this season. He brings it to a different level in the playoffs and in game five he will be one his game. Sonny Gray is very good and fun to watch but he's young and inexperienced. The Tiger's bats woke up last game.
Louisville -12.5 / under 61.5 6.5 teaser $230 to win $192
- I was going to pass on this game but like this teaser. I don't think these two teams will put up 61 and Louisville has been so strong this year and I think they win by two TDs.
San Diego St -145 $380 to win $200
- San Diego St looked very good last week and they should have no trouble beat a very bad Air Force team.
Arizona +7.5 (buy points) -155 $310 to win $200
- I'm not super confident in this game and almost wish I would have gone with USC on the money line. I liked how Arizona looked earlier this season and USC had struggled so we'll see.

- I learned my lesson last night. Don't bet against the pitcher who has experience who has been lights out in the playoffs. I don't care that Verlander hasn't pitched great this season. He brings it to a different level in the playoffs and in game five he will be one his game. Sonny Gray is very good and fun to watch but he's young and inexperienced. The Tiger's bats woke up last game.

- I was going to pass on this game but like this teaser. I don't think these two teams will put up 61 and Louisville has been so strong this year and I think they win by two TDs.

- San Diego St looked very good last week and they should have no trouble beat a very bad Air Force team.
Arizona +7.5 (buy points) -155 $310 to win $200
- I'm not super confident in this game and almost wish I would have gone with USC on the money line. I liked how Arizona looked earlier this season and USC had struggled so we'll see.

October 9, 2013 Sports Picks
I had another bad night going 1-3 for -1100. I'm not going to go into a rant about the games. However, if you saw the games you know I could have easily gone 3-1. Either way I'm picking myself up and moving forward with some big bets on the game tonight:
Pirates vs. Cardinals under 6.5 -110 $440 to win $400
- I like the under 6.5 in this game for a few reasons. #1. This is a National League game so the pitchers hit. #2 Gerrit Cole is starting for the Pirates. I've been talking this kid up on here since his start against Texas back on 9/9. Cole has been lights out from that moment on. In those five starts he has given up just five earned runs in 32 innings. That's a 1.40 ERA. He has been very dominant in those starts and pitched a two hit, one run win against the Cardinals in game 2. #3 Adam Wainwright is pitching for the Cardinals. Wainwright is a big game pitcher who thrives in these situations. He pitched game one against the Pirates and won giving up just one run and three hits over seven innings. I'm really hoping for a 0-0 game going into the 7th tonight. Looking forward to it.

- This should be a tight low scoring game unless one of the pitchers is off. Gerrit Cole is my favorite pitcher right now and hopefully he is focused and ready to dominate again.

October 8, 2013 Sports Picks
I had a very bad day yesterday. It started out with the Tigers losing to the A's. I was surprised that Sanchez had a bad game. I felt very confident in the Rays under 7 bet as both Cobb and Buchholz are very good and were hitting their spots all day. The ump had a very tight strike zone and a big three run home run by Longoria hurt. I went big on the Falcons and I really felt they would have no trouble winning that game at home on Monday night against the Jets. The Jets have not impressed me this year but last night they did. They played great. At the end of the day I went 2-5 for -1640. I hurts but at least I'm still up over the past three days. For today I like these:

- Even though the Tigers are better on paper I think its the A's year. Miguel Cabrera still isn't 100% and that's really affecting the offense of the Tigers. Fister has really struggled over the past two months and has struggled against the A's this year (12.60 ERA). In his start against the A's in Detroit he gave up 13 hits and 7 earned runs in 5 innings. Straily has looked very good and hasn't given up more than 2 earned runs over his last 6 starts. He pitched against Fister in the 8/28 game and won giving up just 1 run over 6 innings.

October 7, 2013 Sports Picks
I had a very good day yesterday going 11-5 for +$999. This past weekend had a lot of very entertaining games. I strongly believe that Denver can go 16-0 this season. I loved the play where Manning faked a hand-off on 3rd and goal from the one and ran it in himself. Everyone was fooled by that fake as who would ever guess that Manning would try and run? Great Call. Dallas looked really great on offense as well but I'm guessing this was their Superbowl and they gave it everything they could but came up short. For Monday, here are my picks:
Falcons -480 $960 to win $200
- Atlanta has historically been very tough at home and play great on Monday night. Matt Ryan struggled a little last week against the Patriots but I'm sure he'll fix those issues and pick apart the Jets secondary with ease. New York is bad again this year and Geno Smith will have trouble with all the noise the crowd will generate. The Jets' best receivers are out.
Falcons - 3.5 / Over 37 6.5 teaser $250 to win $209
- Atlanta's defense is banged up and in both of their home games the totals were 55 and 53. This is going to be a good game and I see a 4-3 Pirates win.

For the A's, Parker has had a good season but he was hit hard in his last start and had a 6.41 ERA in September and he has a 21.60 ERA against Detroit this year (3.1 innings, 8 earned runs).

October 6, 2013 Sports Picks
I had another good day yesterday and finished 8-4 for +511. I feel really good about my Red Sox bet as I knew Price would struggle in this game. Boston's offense is so strong right now, especially at home. I have liked David Ortiz all year and tonight he did me very good. The Washington Huskies have very good coaching. They saved their timeouts and gave their team a chance at the end. Luckily Stanford pulled out the win. For Sunday I have a lot of plays and feel very good about all of them. Here they are:

- The Titan's starting quarterback is out and the Chiefs are playing at a high level. I'm not super confident in this as Fitzpatrick is a wild card but I'll go with the odds in this situation.

- I know the Jags have been the worst team in the NFL but getting Blackmon back is huge and I really believe this game will be close and Jacksonville could win outright. The Rams have been really bad so far this year so getting 11.5 points seems easy.

- New England surprised me last week in beating the Falcons in Atlanta and Cincinnatti disappointed me in losing to Cleveland. They almost (and should have) lost against Tampa.

He is the type of guy that should be in the bullpen. Big mistake Cardinals.

October 5, 2013 Sports Picks
I went 4-0 for +715.50 in MLB but went 0-2 in NCAAF for -310. Overall I finished up $405.50 on the day. Not too bad. I was excited that Nevada came back but it sucks they didn't get the ball first in OT. If they did I probably would have won that bet.
Its Saturday and I have a lot of games on my card. I never liked college football but started to really get into it about five years ago. I know how to make money by taking teams that are locks to win and parlay them with other locks. I also will select spreads or over/unders on games I feel confident about. Here are my plays for Saturday:
MLB:
Red Sox +107 $200 to win $214
- Boston is my favorite team right now and I really enjoyed watching their game today. They are home underdogs which is very odd considering they are one of the best home teams in the league. The fact that David Price is coming off a complete game victory actually makes me like Boston even more. I think Joe Madden will regret leaving him in so long after Saturday's game. Lackey has been a surprise this year and finished the season with a very good 3.52 ERA. Lackey has been outstanding at home going 6-3 with a 2.47 ERA.

Miami -6.5 -110 $110 to win $100
- Miami is 4-0 and plays very well at home. They beat a very good Florida team in week two. Georgia Tech hasn't looked as good this year and lost at home last week against Virginia Tech.
Iowa -1 -110 $165 to win $150
- I really like what I've seen from Iowa so far this year. Jake Rudock is the real deal and Michigan St doesn't have an offense.
Cincinnati / Clemson Parlay $500 to win $234
- Cincy plays South Florida who are one of the worst teams in college football and Clemson is one of the best teams in the nation. I can't picture either team losing on Saturday.

- I haven't been very good on my teasers so far but I like Illinois and Ball St to cover the original spread and I think Florida St wins by two touchdowns.

- Florida looks very good and have an outstanding defense. Arkansas is better this year but they have lost two straight and will lose again on Saturday. LSU looked very good last week at Georgia and that game could have gone either way. Mississippi St is 2-2 and recently lost to Auburn. LSU is much better than Auburn.
Georgia / No. Illinois Parlay $200 to win $130
- Georgia is a very strong team and is coming off a big win over LSU. This week they get a much weaker opponent in Tennessee. They need to keep winning if they want to play in a BCS bowl so they won't take this game lightly. Northern Illinois is a very good team and they completely dominated Purdue last week and they also beat a good Iowa team earlier this year. This week they get the 2-3 Kent State who aren't very good.
Oklahoma / Ohio ST Parlay $300 to win $220
- Oklahoma really impressed me last week in their win against Notre Dame. TCU is always good but they are just 2-2 this year and lost to LSU at home and Texas Tech on the road. I feel more confident in Ohio St to beat Northwestern. The Buckeyes are 5-0 and have a very strong offense and good defense. Northwestern will put up a fight but in the end Ohio State moves on with hopes of a National Championship.
Oregon -39 -110 $165 to win $150
- Oregon probably is the best team in the country and they love to blow their opposition out. Colorado isn't all that bad but they did just get blown out by Oregon State.
Ole Miss -3 -110 $110 to win $100
- Ole Miss looked okay against Alabama last week but no one is going to beat Alabama. Prior to that game Mississippi won two tough road games against Vandy and Texas and they week they get to play Auburn who isn't very good.

LSU looked very good last week at Georgia and that game could have gone either way. Mississippi St is 2-2 and recently lost to Auburn. LSU is much better than Auburn.
Georgia / No. Illinois Parlay $200 to win $130
- Georgia is a very strong team and is coming off a big win over LSU. This week they get a much weaker opponent in Tennessee. They need to keep winning if they want to play in a BCS bowl so they won't take this game lightly. Northern Illinois is a very good team and they completely dominated Purdue last week and they also beat a good Iowa team earlier this year. This week they get the 2-3 Kent State who aren't very good.
Oklahoma / Ohio ST Parlay $300 to win $220
- Oklahoma really impressed me last week in their win against Notre Dame. TCU is always good but they are just 2-2 this year and lost to LSU at home and Texas Tech on the road. I feel more confident in Ohio St to beat Northwestern. The Buckeyes are 5-0 and have a very strong offense and good defense. Northwestern will put up a fight but in the end Ohio State moves on with hopes of a National Championship.
Oregon -39 -110 $165 to win $150
- Oregon probably is the best team in the country and they love to blow their opposition out. Colorado isn't all that bad but they did just get blown out by Oregon State.
Ole Miss -3 -110 $110 to win $100
- Ole Miss looked okay against Alabama last week but no one is going to beat Alabama. Prior to that game Mississippi won two tough road games against Vandy and Texas and they week they get to play Auburn who isn't very good.
Stanford -330 $660 to win $200
- Stanford has been playing great ball and they'll be tough to beat at home. Washington is good as well but home field advantage will be big in this game.

Even though I went 4-2 for +280 I'm really frustrated with the Bills game last night. I feel I was on the right side of this game but the injury to Manuel killed me. That late game pick six cost me over $700. I understand that stuff can happen and I'll move forward with some more great picks. For today I'm going with these:
Pirates +125 $200 to win $250
- Pittsburgh looked really good against the Reds when they were home but were dominated against the Cardinals on the road in yesterday's loss. For today, the Pirates are pitching Gerrit Cole and for anyone of you have read my analysis over the past month you know that I'm a huge fan of this youngster. The guy is a big time pitcher and should thrive in this game. He is 4-0 over his last four starts. Lance Lynn has been inconsistent and can get hit hard.
Red Sox -139 $200 to win $145
- I really like Boston to win this series and even though Tampa Bay is good and should put up a fight I like Boston to win game one. Jon Lester has been great this season and is 7-1 with a 3.09 ERA at home. He is also much better in day games (2.84 ERA). Matt Moore has been very good lately but he hasn't been as good during day games (4.18 ERA) but other than that he has good numbers against the Red Sox and on the road. I don't like that Boston had so many days off so that is why I'm going going $200.
Tigers -123 $200 to win $163
- Max Scherzer is 21-3 with a 2.90 ERA on the season. He is a lock for AL Cy Young. He is also better on the road (2.28 ERA) and in night games (2.76). For the A's, Colon has had an amazing season as well (18-6, 2.65 ERA). His numbers are good at home and in night games. This should be a low scoring tight game but the edge goes to Detroit because of Miguel Cabrera who should be the AL MVP.

- See my comments above. After the long layoff it is likely the offenses will be off and both pitchers are very stingy.
BYU +13.5 / Over 49 7 pt teaser $200 to win $154
-BYU really impressed me in their game against Texas but they have been flat since. They do have the talent to keep this game close and I love going over in college football. I think this game goes over 50.
Nevada +6 -110 $110 to win $100
- Nevada hasn't been given any respect this year. They have played well so I'm not sure why they haven't. Nevada wins this game straight up.

October 3, 2013 Sports Picks
I had a really rough night last night. I have been traveling back from New York all day so I'm sorry I didn't post my picks until now. Here they are:
Cardinals -152 $304 to win $200
- I'm going with the Cardinals in this spot. Wainwright has been great all year and is a big game pitcher. Burnett has been good but I'll go with the home team.
Dodgers -150 $150 to win $100
- Kershaw has been the best pitcher all year and this is the type of game they pay him the big bucks to win. Atlanta has a lot of good left-handed hitters and Kershaw is very stingy against lefties (.165 Batting Average against). Medlen has been outstanding lately but I can't see Kershaw losing this game.

- This NFL game is a toss up as both Buffalo and Cleveland have impressed so far this year.
Buffalo +11 / Over 33.5 7 pt teaser $400 to win $308
- I think this will be a close game as Buffalo has been involved in very tight games so far and Cleveland doesn't have the fire power to blow anyone out. I also like this game to go over 33.5 as both teams can move the ball.

- Texas was blown out by BYU and Ole Miss before beating a sub par Kansas State team. Iowa State has played well this year and they are home. Texas has a big game against Oklahoma next week so they may be looking past this game.

October 2, 2013 Sports Picks
I lost both my bets yesterday for -$530. Cueto lost his focus with the crowd chanting his name and mocking him. I overlooked that aspect of the game but normally players learn to completely block that noise out. Cueto was missing his spots all night and Liriano looked like Cy Young. I'm glad Pitt won but I don't like losing $500.

The Rays looked good against the Rangers on Monday night however they had their best pitcher going (Price) and the Rangers haven't been as good over the past three weeks. Tonight, the Rays have Cobb pitching who I'm a big fan of. I have nothing bad to say about Cobb as he has good numbers on the road and against the Indians this year. I'm going with the Indians for a few reasons. #1. They have been the hottest team in all of baseball going 10-0 over their last 10 games. Yes, they didn't play the best competition but normally teams fighting for a playoff spot have struggled against teams with nothing to lose. They really impressed me and I don't think they all of sudden let off the gas tonight. #2 If you haven't heard of Danny Salazar I think you'll be surprised with the stuff this kid has. He's young and talented. I do have some worries since he is so young and could crack under the pressure but #3 the Indians do have home field advantage and that should help a lot tonight. The Indians are 51-30 at home this year and Tampa is 41-41 on the road.
NHL:
Red Wings -190 $380 to win $200
- I'm not much of an NHL fan but I do place some bets and Detroit is much better than Buffalo and I think they win their first game at home.

October 1, 2013 Sports Picks
I had a great day yesterday going 4-1 for +581. For Tuesday, we have one game on the board. Reds at Pirates. We finally start the MLB playoffs and even though I'm not a big fan of the one game playoff for the wild card teams it is still exciting and very entertaining. Both the Reds and the Pirates have played very well all year and tonight's game is all that matters. The pitching matchup is second to none with Cueto vs. Liriano. I really hope Pittsburgh wins as I like their team better and Liriano has been money at home this year (1.47 ERA) and he is tough on left handed hitters (.131 batting average against) but I'm placing two bets:

In his last start in Pittsburgh the man pitched eight innings and gave up just one hit and no runs. This was back on May 31 so things are different now but that's a pretty impressive start. Cueto is well rested and has pitched very well in his two starts since coming off the DL. In those starts he pitched 12 innings, gave up 8 hits and 1 earned run. Cueto has a career ERA of 2.37 against Pittsburgh. Based on the numbers we should see a very low scoring game which should end at 2-1. That happens I win both.
