December 15, 2013 Sports Picks

I had a nice day yesterday going 5-4 for +95.  Here are my plays today:

Falcons/Colts Parlay -115 $300 to win $260

-Atlanta has had a rough season but they are much better at home and have played well over their last three games.  Washington has one of the worst defenses in the league and they are just 1-5 on the road and 0-5 over their last five.  They are starting Kurt Cousins so Atlanta has the edge in this one.  I like the Colts to win at home against the Texans.  They haven’t played well since Wayne went out but they have some decent weapons on offense and they are 4-2 at home and 4-0 in the division.  The Texans have lost 11 straight and have never won in Indianapolis.  They have their sights set on the #1 pick.  

Niners/Seahawks Parlay -121 $150 to win $124

-I’m taking these two road teams in a parlay.  San Francisco has been playing great football winning three straight.  They are an impressive 4-2 on the road.  Tampa has been playing good football going 4-1 over their last five but San Fran can shut down their run game making them one dimensional.  I like Seattle to win at New York.  The Seahawks need this win to keep their lead for the #1 seed.  They are 5-2 on the road and 4-1 over their last five.  The Giants have been really inconsistent and are coming off a very poor showing in San Diego. 

Jags +13 / Patriots +10 / Saints +3.5 10 pt teaser $200 to win $154

-Jacksonville has look very good and have won three straight and are 4-1 over their last five.  Buffalo is 1-5 on the road and 1-4 over their last five.  Why are the Bills favored in this game?  New England had a poor showing against Cleveland last week and Miami had an impressive win at Pittsburgh last week but the Patriots need this win to control their destiny for the #1 seed and you know they are going to fix their issues from last week.  Miami has improved but they still have many weaknesses that New England will expose.  The Saints are much better than St. Louis but they don’t play as well on the road.  New Orleans is 4-1 over their last five and St. Louis is just 3-3 at home and 2-3 over their last five. 

Eagles/Panthers Parlay $250 to win $150

-Minnesota is a disappointing 3-9 on the season but they are 3-3 at home and they have played better over their last five going 2-2-1.  They’ve won their last two home games.  Philly has won five in a row and are an impressive 5-1 on the road but they haven’t played in a dome stadium all year so the home field advantage will be important in this game. ** Update, I changed this bet from MN +7 to this parlay.  Peterson is out and the Eagles are hot.  This is a no brainer to pick the Eagles to win.

Panthers / Chiefs Parlay $230 to win $151

-Carolina has an easy matchup against the Jets at home.  The Panthers are 5-1 at home and 4-1 over their last five.  The Jets are just 1-5 on the road.  Kansas City is coming off a 45-10 win on the road against Washington last week.  They are 5-1 on the road this year.  Oakland has lost three straight.

Cardinals -3 $110 to win $100
- Arizona is much better at home but they are 4-1 over their last five and Tennessee is just 1-4 over their last five.  The Titans are just 2-4 at home and the Cardinals are much better all around and should be able to win this game.  

Panthers -3.5 / Under 48 7 pt teaser $140 to win $100
- Carolina should win this game easily and I'm taking the under 48 because Carolina has the #1 ranked defense in the league giving up just 13 points per game.  The Jets are the second worst team in the NFL on offense scoring just 15.8 points per game.  

Panthers / Cowboys Parlay $130 to win $85

- I'm taking the Cowboys to win because they are home where they are 5-1 and because Aaron Rodgers is not playing again and Green Bay has struggled mightily since he went out.
