August 16th Sports Picks

I had a very good day yesterday as I went 5-2 for +404.50.  I feel really good about my picks on Friday:

Pirates -145 $290 to win $200
- Pittsburgh is very good at home (41-20) and the Dbacks struggle on the road (26-31).  I like Cole (3.95 ERA) much more than McCarthy (4.73).  This seems like a no-brainer and I would have expected odds more in the -170 range.

Dodgers vs. Phillies under 7 -110 $110 to win $100
- Greinke has been great over the past 30 days (2.48 ERA).  Lee has struggled a little bit but has a 1.40 career ERA against LAD.  I am less confident in this game but I had to bet it with these two big names going against each other.
Marlins vs. Giants under 7 -110 $110 to win $100
- Gaudin has been lights out over the past 30 days (2.48 ERA) and he has only given up 10 hits and 2 earned runs over his last three starts.  Eovaldi is really good at home (2.16 ERA) and has has pitched outstanding over his last four starts (3 earned runs in 26 innings.

Braves -1.5 +125 $150 to win $187.50
- Alex Wood is the real deal.  He has a 2.78 ERA on the season and is 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA over his last two starts.  Taylor Jordan has struggled over his last two starts (6.97 ERA).
Rangers -165 $165 to win $100
- I'm a big fan of Holland who is capable of pitching a gem at any given day.  Iwakuma is coming off a really poor start against the Brewers.

O's -1.5 +105 $200 to win $210
- Baltimore is good at home (33-25) and Colorado is bad on the road (21-38).  Chen is outstanding at home (2.67) and a really consistent.  Nicasio is bad on the road (6.03 ERA).  This seems like a no brainer as Cargo is still out.

** Adding these late games:

Mets +135 $100 to win $135
Indians vs. A's under 7 EVEN $160 to win $160
Angels -1.5 +125 $100 to win $125

I was going to do the Padres and Astros but I had a change of heart.  Its all about visualization.  Met's hitters are playing really well lately and the Astros just aren't hitting.  Williams could shut them out.
