August 19th Sports Picks

I had a rough day yesterday going 1-3.  I hope to turn things around today.  Here are my picks:

Dodgers vs. Marlins under 6.5 -120 $240 to win $200
- Fernandez has been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball this year and especially since the All-Star break.  He has a 1.39 ERA at home.  On the other side, Ryu has been really good over his last four starts.  He has a 2.91 ERA on the year. 

Cardinals -1.5 +120 $100 to win $120
- The Cardinals have a lot to play for and every game is important.  The Brewers have been playing pretty decent ball but Estrada has a 7.71 ERA at home and 6.55 career ERA against the Cards.

Pirates -144 $288 to win $200
- Liriano is coming off a complete games 4-hitter against the Cardinals.  He is lights out and should be able to shut out the Padres tonight.  Cashner has pitched okay but nothing special. 

A's -1.5 EVEN $150 to win $150
- I like Parker and the A's in this spot to win.  Oakland is very good at home (38-23) and Seattle isn't good on the road (26-34).  Parker has pitched very well over his last three starts.  Harang has given up 17 earned runs over his last 12 innings.


Angels -140 $140 to win $100
- Weaver is pitching for the Angels tonight.  He has a 2.25 ERA at home this year and a career ERA against the Indians of 2.86.  Cleveland is pretty good so I couldn't go crazy in this spot.
