August 20th Sports Picks

Here are my picks for today:

Tigers -1.5 -110 $220 to win $200
- Detroit is at home against the Twins.  Porcello's last start against the Twins he pitched 7 innings and gave up just 3 hits and 0 runs.  He has pitched well this year after his first two starts.  Pelfrey hasn't been pitching well of late and has a 5.57 ERA in his career against the Tigers. 

O's -115 $230 to win $200
- I like the odds in this game as the Orioles are very good at home and Gonzalez is decent.  Cobb is good as well but has only one start since June 15th.  Also, I should add that Baltimore has more left-handed hitters than Tampa.

Royals -1.5 +120 $100 to win $120
- The Royals have a huge pitching edge in this game with Santana vs. Danks.  Santana has a 3.12 ERA at home and Danks has a 5.13 ERA on the road.  KC has been playing well and I see them scoring enough to win by more than one run.

A's -200 $400 to win $200
- Sonny Gray has been very good and in his last start as he blanked the Astros over 8 innings and had 9 strike outs.  I held onto Sonny on my fantasy team and will be starting him again tonight against the Mariners.  Saunders has really struggled over his last six starts with the exception of one start.  He has a 5.60 ERA.
